Thanks dutchess. They need all our support. They are having it hard enough over there fighting the heat, home-sickness, and the Iraqii querillas without hearing about possible flagging support from our less than patriotic media.

Hi Dutchess! I just realized this morning that I already have the Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 3.0 program! Billie says we need to get on a three way Messenger so that she can show us the ropes now! :)

'When the new recruit is standing in front of his D.I., he knows what he had to do, what his D.I. wants him to do, his Mama, his Daddy, his leader says to do. But what our whole recruit training program is heading towards is that Marine doing what he has been trained for when his leader, or any other 'senior' is not there looking over him. Those moments when he is alone in combat, and he has to rely on one person, himself!'

Thanks for the "1st Marine Division (REIN) Commanding General's Message to All Hands" post.
There are some strong words in that message!
To: iceskater
I am concerned about this whole Liberia thing, too. Mr. iceskater's father was stationed in Monrovia back in the early 70's. He said it was a h*llhole. Even back then. That posting was it for his father and was what made him take early retirement. At least it's a comfort to know that this administration takes a serious approach to any commitment they make with our military. I trust that they're going into Liberia with a successful conclusion in mind.

Good day to our Hostesses all, and thank you Aqua and Billie...it's nice to see all those brave faces this morning.
Yes...may God protects our troops.
I'm on the road again in a few minutes...thru Phoenix for a night with my parents and their dog and cat, pick up a nephew, roll on to Colorado the next morning for a few days with my sister's family on vacation in the Rockies.
Long drive, gonna be fun.
hijinx, thanks for that kind invite to Sierra Vista when I drove to AZ over the Fourth...that's a beautiful part of the world you live in. Maybe someday, I can take you up on it...)
LadyX and WVNan, I'll be thinking of you on the day of your rendezvous, and shall be anxious to read the account of your adventure .
LadTX, thanks for sharing the words from your lad...I think of him almost everyday...and thank him, too...and all our heroes in uniform.
Wishing all Freepers a safe and prosperoius Monday Monday.
Be seein' y'all on the other side of tomorrow...
