Democrat Eyes Potential Grounds for Bush Impeachment
Reuters ^ | July 17 | John Milne

- U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Bob Graham said on Thursday there were grounds to impeach President Bush if he was found to have led America to war under false pretenses.

While Graham did not call for Bush's impeachment, he said if the president lied about the reasons for going to war with Iraq it would be "more serious" than former President Bill Clinton's lie under oath about his sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky.

I believe Graham's brain has been deprived of oxygen to be discussing this.

It's obvious that Graham just can't wait to put himself out of the running for President. It's also obvious that he has no real grasp of reality. Bill Clinton lied under oath. GW Bush made a state of the Union address that said there was strong evidence that Iraq was trying to buy uranium from Africa to advance his nuclear weapons program. If we're going to impeach politicians for making statements that may not be 100% factual, we're going to be busy for quite some time.

I used to think Graham was an occasionally conservative Democrat. Then, learning of his diary, I thought he was a bit weird. Now I think he is out of his mind.

Clinton should be impeached for claiming that he had to build a bridge to the 21st century. And then again for not building one like he promised.

Every single liberal democrat in office would be up for impeachment.

Well stated. So well, in fact, that it should be the last word on the subject for any rational human with more than half a brain.

Where else would Saddam obtain his uranium from? Does Graham think he'd try to purchase it in North America?

He said British intelligence has info that Iraq had recenty sought large quantities of uranium in Africa. This is a true statement. The fact that the CIA couldn't confirm has been the basis for saying it did not reach a threshold for inclusion in the SOTU speech..the President's most important speech.A parking ticket offense that the Dems are calling a capital crime.

Well let's get busy then - I am sick of the lying, the parsing, the half-truths, and all the rest of the nonsense that is spewed out as gospel truth to us.

The upside is that most all offices would be vacant, and hopefully we would have the good sense to never fill them.
