MSNBC is running it as breaking news.. Graham said that there is no way that Tom Delay and the House will have impeachment hearings over the supposed intelligence failures (I assume he is talking about VP Cheney) so 'the people' will have to vote the offending partes out in 2004.
A desperate act of a Presidential candidacy and a political career expiring

Isn't Graham on the Senate Intelligence Committee, which has oversight over the intelligence community? Yet he bears no responsibility for intelligence failures?

No one can contend he [Graham] has lived up to his potential as a presidential candidate. political observer and commentator Larry Sabato on Grahams dismal fundraising performance.

I think the strongest candidate would be Congressman Foley from West Palm Beach. He will be challenged for the Republican nomination by McCollum, who lost to Nelson in 2000. I don't want to see McCollum as the nominee again, since he lost one already and I think people are put off with his nerdy presence.

Graham is a doddering idiot.
These losers are throwing their feces up against the wall, and the lack of anything sticking reflects their current state of queasiness.
Dubya should have a 3-word press conference on impeachment:
Bring 'em on!!!!
What Mr. Graham needs to reflect on is that people distrusted Clinton from the get-go, so they gave power to Republicans in congress after 2 years in order to check him. Without that, no impeachment. In the case of Bush, the people decided to reinforce Bush's hand and disempower the Dems by voting them out of Congress. We took the impeachment option out of their hands.
To: ewing
That is what they want right now. If they are busy there they aren't in CONUS. What do you think "Bring 'Em On!" meant?
To: ewing
Let's see. How does this stack up against Bob Barr's c.1997 call for Clinton to be impeached for transferring nuclear warhead, MIRV, and missle guidance technology to Communist China?
Oh, he/she/they finally got impeached, but it was for lying about an "inappropriate relationship". The really treasonous behavior got lost in the dust.

Well, now that I think about it, he probably would know all about intelligence failure! He could just look around the room. (LOL)

They are all undermining the morale of our troops and encouraging our enemies with their self-serving, anti-U.S. rhetoric. And I think Clinton is behind a lot of this, including other countries now hedging on sending over troops to help us out in Iraq. Clinton wouldn't care if more of our soldiers died and we were discredited in the world, as long as he can undermine Pres. Bush and continue his dominance of news. He goes around the world talking against us, and the candidates are all emulating his disgraceful approach.

Don't forget the other part of the troika Dick Durbin and Carl Levin. Where were these bums when Clinton was destroying an aspirin factory. I would dare say they are emboldening the enemy in Iraq. Talk about sedition!

He ran a cruddy campaign against Bill Nelson, and lost by a pretty good margin (57% -42%? - I don't recall but that's in the ballpark).

The more they attempt to create the appearance of discord, the more it invigorates our enemies in Iraq to continue their guerilla attacks on our troops in the hopes of driving us out. In the dem's minds, of course, "hey, it's only a few dead grunts from flyover country, who cares?" It wasn't a dem who challenged the Iraqis to "Bring it on."
To: ewing
Yes, we can expect this sort of idiocy until the election. Rush is right (again) when he says the dims are hilarious to watch when they are out of power.

Well, not really! We do have Mark Foley jumping in the ring, and rumors are bouncing around about Katherine Harris, and there's some other guy who's name I can't remember... $:-)
When I ask the local GOP committee about Graham, boy do they ever get defensive. Uh huh...
Heck, I'd run if I knew I had a snowball's chance. I'd even waive my requirement that they bring back dueling! $;-)

Don't let Bob Graham near an automobile. He looks about as coherent as the guy who mowed down all the shoppers yesterday at the Farmer's Market in Santa Monica.
On a personal note, the pregnant daughter of a good friend of mine goes to that market EVERY Wednesday. She takes her young boy with her. She had planned on going there yesterday, but the good Lord created some miraculous circumstances that prevented her from either witnessing or being a victim of that horrific tragedy. She is normally there around the same time the accident occured.
