MSNBC is running it as breaking news.. Graham said that there is no way that Tom Delay and the House will have impeachment hearings over the supposed intelligence failures (I assume he is talking about VP Cheney) so 'the people' will have to vote the offending partes out in 2004.
A desperate act of a Presidential candidacy and a political career expiring

This is going to blow up in the Dem's faces, especially when Curt Weldon referenced Clinton's lies about Kosovo to justify that particular conflict.

Good for him.
He's trying to win over the leftist dingbats in the Dem primary. And it will work, forcing the other dopes to follow him.
He's driving another nail into the coffins of the Dem party in the general election.

Hey, is Bob Graham running for President? ;)
To: dirtboy
Can Congress impeach the head of the CIA? I do agree that this is a huge political mistake by Sen. Graham, even if he is retiring

It's a delicate art, running far enough left to win the primary but not sabotaging your chances in November with all the stuff you said to win over the left wingnuts. So far, the Dems are trampling any semblence of moderation needed to for them to have a chance in 2004.

Yes, and Graham is tanking in the polls at the moment with good reason.

ABA Primer on Impeachment A. Article 2, Section 4, specifies that "The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors." These "civil officers" include federal judges and cabinet members, but do not include Senators and Representatives, (the Senate and House deal with misconduct by their own members).

You have got that right the news media is coming after Conservatives with the heavy artillery

This is becoming almost laughable. If it weren't so f***ing maddening that is. These guys are out of control (the 9 dwarfs and the other demo/socialists) and Time Magazines cover this week is a disgrace. I think we all should subscribe for their 4 free issues and cancel. Let's drive their costs up so goog old Ted Turner can lose his last few billion.

Graham shouldn't speak about intelligence failures. We might just think of HIS.

While I agree that the dems are blatantly sabotaging any chance they'll have in 2004 (and likely the 2006 mid terms too), this partisan hectoring of the Administration comes with a price.
The more they attempt to create the appearance of discord, the more it invigorates our enemies in Iraq to continue their guerilla attacks on our troops in the hopes of driving us out.
In the dem's minds, of course, "hey, it's only a few dead grunts from flyover country, who cares?"

Since the Dims dont have the votes anywhere, it just comes off looking stupid as an idle threat.
Doesnt Sen. Graham think before he talks?

Graham has lost his mind. His rants get more insane every day...
He says things like this when the Brits are telling everyone the intell is sound. WMD reports are starting to come out of Iraq and proof of an Al-Q link is getting stronger every day.
You would think at least someone on his staff keeps up with current events.
To: El Laton Caliente
Owl Eagle is right, this guy comes off as encouraging the Al Qaeda killing our boys in Iraq coming from Syria.
