Our opportunity is at hand! We wanted a vote on Congressman Ron Pauls H.R. 1146 (withdrawing the United States from the United Nations) and we got it.
The House will vote late this afternoon or early evening on H.R. 1146 as an amendment to H.R. 1950 Foreign Relations Authorization Act.
The amendment reads: "Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, none of the funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act, may be obligated or expended to pay any United States contribution to the United Nations or any affiliated agency of the United Nations."
In plain language, that gets the U.S. out of the U.N. no money, no membership.
This is not a dress rehearsal this is your life. Put down your pencils, stop reading The New American and start contacting people...start with your U.S. representative and then spread the word. Its time to stop talking about how bad the United Nations really is and do something about it: get the U.S. out of the U.N.!

Couldn't get through to my rep, Mark Green (R-Green Bay).
I expect that he'll vote for it, however...

God bless Ron Paul. Amen to that. The only three politicians I regularly support: Ron Paul, Tom Tancredo and Jim Bunning. The rest of the Republicans are a bunch of phonies. I'm done voting Republican. I only vote conservative!
To: jgrubbs
I know my represntative, Jim Bunning, will be voting for this. Nice to be represented by a TRUE conservative.

The U.N. essentially consists of Superman being chastized and manipulated by the Corleone family. I know this. Freepers know this. But do the sheeple really know this?
As much as I would like this vote to be a starting point of, at the very least, getting the U.N. out of the U.S., I realize that our representatives and sheeple are blinded to the idea of the U.N. and not the reality. Still, I'll put forth the effort.

Writer Coulter correctly described the chief proponent of the UN in our government as being Alger Hiss. Later, Harry Dexter White was crucial in forming the IMF. Anti-UN types are often pictured as paranoids at best; however, people seldom speak of how and why these organizations began.

"As much as I would like this vote to be a starting point of, at the very least, getting the U.N. out of the U.S., I realize that our representatives and sheeple are blinded to the idea of the U.N. and not the reality."Sadly, you're right. Too many Americans still trust the UN more than the president, even after the circus of lies and public manipulation during the SC "debates"...more like debacles. Even when the public has the evidence right before it's eyes that the UN is actively working AGAINST the best interests of the world in general and the US (without which the UN would not EXIST in any substantive form) in partucular, it's amazing the number of Americans that refuse to hear or see the truth.
Even the forged Nigerian receipt was sprung on Colin Powell in the Security Council by FRANCE, rather than during diplomatic discussions where intelligence is supposed to be shared and cooperation given.

Dear Florida activist,
We need your extra effort. Members of the Florida congressional
delegation need to be persuaded to vote "YES" on the Paul amendment
that would get the U.S. out of the U.N. Some of them are undecided
while others are planning to vote the wrong way.
Please call your representative to ask him to vote "YES" on the Paul
amendment to H.R. 1950 - Foreign Relations Authorization. Call their
D.C. office or their local office.
