Time for the Christians to get off their blessed assurance, come out of their churches and get in the trenches - that is if they want to stop this.
Prayer is a wonderful thing - and I'm a big proponent of it - but you have to put feet to your faith. If you believe in America, you must defend her. Or ... you get what they decide you can have. If the church doesn't stand up - they are going to wake up with no right to have church!!

IS 5:20:
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute sweet for bitter and bitter for sweet.

I have no intensions of reading anymore posts from you, including the one you just asked me to read. As I asked, please post your hatred toward someone, someplace, something some deity else, and not toward me or Christianity.

Where in this passage or anywhere in Isaiah 5 is there a reference to the "final days?" The reason I ask is that several posters have linked Isaiah 5:20 to the current SCOTUS preverted decisions and the "final days."
While the SCOTUS descisions have been coming out left field, they surely are not the end of the world.

Pride, wrath, sloth, gluttony, avarice, lust, envy and self-esteem are all 'normal' for fallen human being, too. (I'm Orthodox, and we list eight grevious sins, following St. John Cassian's classification, rather than seven deadly). They also kill the soul. Perhaps fighting against the 'normality' of the more exotic forms of lust is the wrong battle. Calling all to repentence from their normal sins would seem to be more useful both to the salvation of our souls and to good social order.

And because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold."
Therefore it is safe to conclude that lawlessness (anomian) will continue to increase until the end. The SCOTUS decision is without a doubt
anomian.

The SCOTUS decision is without a doubt anomian. Okay. But I still do not see a link to the "final days."
Yes, there is some creep to that which one could call lawlessness in the name of the law, but the world has a long, long way to go before lawless makes man's hearts anywhere near as cold and hard as they were in the days of the Old Testament. For example, when the Jews conquered Jericho and the other Arab city-states, they slaughtered every man, woman and child in those cities. While we have some modern cases of attempted genocide, the forces of good have interrupted those attempts.
While I do not applaud perverted sex, I do not see it as the end of the world.

Their intention is obvious...a total repudiation of Judeo-Christianity in this great nation....
Actually, throughout the world. The sinful attitude is purveyed as America and is largely responsible for the Islamic hatred of America as the great satan.

Perverted sex was not my origianl point. Today, as conservatives, we are becoming labelled by the PC police and liberals when we disagree or judge any action (as a Christian, Jew, Muslim and any unnamed religion) as a sin or just plain wrong.
If we say homosexuality is wrong, we're homo-phobes as one example. Our kids are taught to accept every lifestyle and not to judge it.
People are calling evil good, and good evil. It's all over the entertainment industry and schools, and courts.
That was my main point.

Actually, throughout the worldOf course you're right. But it appears that much of the rest of the world is all too happy to go along with the "live and let live" charade.
If there's one thing any liberal fears it's being called "intolerant".
I honestly believe some of them would push their own children into homosexuality to prove how "tolerant" they are.

Our kids are taught to accept every lifestyle and not to judge it. I do not see teaching non-judgemental behavior as a bad thing. Did Jesus not say in Mat 7:1 - "Judge not least ye be judged"
While we are all human and thus all subjected to human frailties, it does not mean we should not strive to overcome those frailties. I would prefer my kids learn to become less judgemental than I.
To: Jeff Gordon
Okay. But I still do not see a link to the "final days."
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; and avoid such men as these.
In case you think that's the way it's always been,
Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation."

I do not see teaching non-judgemental behavior as a bad thing. Did Jesus not say in Mat 7:1 - "Judge not least ye be judged"Yes He said that. However, if someones son was to say homosexuality is a sin. He would be looked at as a bigot. This kind of teaching is incrementalism (sp). It starts small and snowballs to a point where a Christian child is not allowed to speak his/her mind for fear of being critisized.
Why is it okay for some people to speak their mind and others not. Speaking out for what is right and against what is evil is the fundemental belief of the Christian, Jew, etc.
Where we accept it or not, this is happening today in every form of entertainment, in schools at every level, in politics, and most everywhere else. If we allow the NEA to indoctrinate our kids with this PC garbage they will win. We are in a battle for the future morality of our country, and I believe we're losing. So many are believing a lie and only a few are seeing the truth.
