Definitely! I'd be curious to know a little more about these guys, however.
Were they NOI? (Nation of Islam - Black Muslims)? Or were they not official NOI, but like the guy in Iraq who killed several people by rolling grenades into their tent and then shooting them when they came out?
He was also a black American convert to Islam, and the military also initially announced that he did it because he was peeved at having been disciplined. So many of the background facts have emerged now, however, that is it clear that he did it for ideological reasons, and the only reason he was "disciplined" in the first place (which consisted of being sent to the unfortunate regiment where he killed people) was because of his anti-American speech and activity.
As I said, I'd like to know more about this. And I hope that if military people are watching/listening, they start putting the protection of their troops and their mission above the protection of dysfunctionals, regardless of the race, color or creed of the latter.

These guys sound like 'muslims' or deMauMau wannabees.
Just typical of the cowardly nature of these groups to be too fearful of DIRECT confrontations.

I'll wager that whatever person would do something like this is more fundamentally angry at the military or country than just being peeved at being disciplined. When I was in the Navy, I knew guys that went to Captain's Mast (non-judicial punishment). I almost went up once for disrespect to my division officer. I never got the idea that murdering my commanders would be a great idea and I don't think the other guys did either. Something else is going on here.

No doubt. These guys don't have the nuts to confront somebody man-to-man and lay it on the table what their beef is. They're skiffy little weasels that have to sabotage equipment in the middle of the night because they're gutless turds.

If it is determined that these guys really did this, they should be hanged and put into paupers' graves. Too civil. Make them jump out of planes at 1,250 feet knowing the cords in their parachutes are cut and they have no reserves.

I agree - my son also almost went to Captain's Mast for an unfortunate event when he was - uh, inebriated.
But somebody who is out trying to kill random members of his unit obviously has something else going on, and is beyond the scope of regular military punishments. Unfortunately, the military doesn't seem to have any policy for dealing with this, probably because it's a whole new problem.
As usual, these people act in a cowardly, sneaky manner: they attack sleeping troops who trust them, cut parachute lines on people who rely on them to pack the chutes right, etc. To me, this indicates that it was brought to us by the same people who blew up innocent civilans on buses and in pizza parlors, or sitting at their desks in lower Manhattan.
