WASHINGTON, 13 July 2003 Theres nothing more serious than deception and prevarication on national security matters, former Green Party presidential candidate Ralph Nader told journalists this week.
The invasion of Iraq was illegal, unconstitutional and an impeachable offense, he said.
Indifferent to which party he offended, Nader said President George W. Bush is impeachable now and beatable in 2004, then criticized the Democrats for failing to exploit the corporate crimes perpetrated in the last three years by Bush the administration.
The alleged weapons of mass destruction, connection of Saddam Hussein to Sept. 11 and the depiction of Saddam as a threat to United States were all part of that deception, he said.
He urged the nine Democratic presidential hopefuls to attack Bush on these points, adding Democrats are showing an unwillingness and inability to go after the principal vulnerability of Bush, which are the corporate crimes, fraud and abuse that has swept the country.
In many ways, this was light criticism of Bush by Nader. He has said the war in Iraq developed from a messianic militaristic determination turned by a closed mind, facilitated by a cowering Congress and opposition Democrat Party and undeterred by a probing press.
Bush is acting in effect as a selected dictator, Nader told journalists before the war the on Iraq. He has also attacked the president for not listening to any of the many retired admirals, generals and foreign-policy experts who have warned against the war.
For a cheap political advantage, the administration will destroy freedoms and civil rights, undermine our economy and destroy the position of the United States in the world.
Nader says the real reason for the invasion of Iraq is based on greed. Despite well-known ties to Big Oil, Bush Administration officials have managed to keep a straight face as they insist that the drive to war against Iraq is motivated only by an effort to eliminate weapons of mass destruction and establish democracy.
Two politicians have earned Naders approval, and he endorses Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, and Howard Dean, who has surprised many observers with his fund-raising abilities, has an excellent speech, but needs to move further away from the centrist Democratic Leadership Council. But even today, his speech does not touch on corporate abuse.

I'm almost sorry to post this: but next time someone asks you "why do they hate us" you can point to Ralph Nader and the rest of the American Left. The rest of the world just follows their lead.

Chrysler Corporation was to add a new car to it's line to honor Bill Clinton. The Dodge Drafter was to begin production in Canada this year, but the car had to be pulled out of production when initial tests showed that the little white lines on the road kept disappearing all the time. |

Hey, no, thanks for posting this. I needed a laugh.
I'm glad to see that Ralphie is just as funny as ever, and still blind to the fact that all of the specific corporate fraud he likes to natter on about has been linked to officials in a former presidential administration.

LOL!
The "spoiler" is launching his 2004 run for the WH. I love it!
Ordinarily, the democrats would love to have Ralph spewing impeachment crapola and other such vile about POTUS, but, they cannot embrace Ralph on this one --- since they've already fielded a cast of 9 under the auspices of the "democrat party."
Ralph's entry into the race makes him about as welcome as a bastard is at a family reunion!
Run Ralph, run! Love it!

Looks like he's got the cliches and lib talking points down.
This sort of nonsense is just so laughable, I really have to wonder about the mental state of Nadar.
I hope he runs for President again.

Yup. The Enron funny business was during the Klonton administration but you'd never hear that from the Left.

Enron? Kinda fell off out of the news once it appeared more Democrats had their grubby fingerprints all over that scandal than Republicans- didn't it?

Two politicians have earned Naders approval, and he endorses Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, and Howard Dean... Now I am torn. Do I want a far left candidate in the hopes of an '84 redux or a Lieberman type so there is 3rd party insanity on the Left.

I can't decide who's going to get the Comic Relief Award for Election 2004 yet. It's a tight race between Ralphie and Al Sharpton (my candidate in the Dem Primary next spring!)

Nader:
"Democrats are showing an unwillingness and inability to go after the principal vulnerability of Bush, which are the corporate crimes, fraud and abuse that has swept the country."
Could it be Ralphie that Democrats are showing in "unwillingness" to go after these corproate crimes because they are knee-deep in them? From Robert Rubin's attempts to get the Bush administration to falsely inflate Enron's credit rating, to Lieberman's large contributions from that same lender (Citigroup), the Democrats are much more culpable than Bush ever was. The back-breaking deal in India, the multiple WH commerce-trips by Enron execs. setup by CLinton, envoronmental policy to benefit Enron...the last administration was the corporate criminal. Bush inherited these problems just as almost every Republican administration inherits the garbage from the previous democratic administration. Is there any doubt that we'd see corporations cooking thier book when this last administration did the same thing with their "cooked" growth that was off by almost 30% for the last two years? I'm always amazed at the selective outrage that liberals portray.

I have a special place in my heart for Ralphie since he's seen to it my lawnmower is downright awkward to operate, the little butane outdoor grill igniter is now so hard to use I almost can't get it to work (childproof, you know) and the trigger on my pellet gun is so stiff it's not possible to shoot accurately without having a gunsmith work on it first. Yeah, I really like this guy - not!
Were ol' Ralph to be elected, can you imagine what our cars would be like? What's encouraging is most people know he's a wacko so he won't get elected to anything, just cut into the Dems numbers. Go Ralph!

Nader has been wrong on about ten times more occasions than he's been right. Anyone who would lend him an ear and put stock in his drivel is just asking for humiliation when the smoke clears.
