C-Span is going to air a tour of the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan after this commissioning ceremony.

No doubt, and now they're having issues with the Virginia class budget from what I've been hearing.

It will replayed on C-SPAN is my understanding! Everyone should watch this.
Admiral Clark -- My task today is to set in motion the process of the Command -- at least 15-20 times the Command will turn over on the Ronald Reagan. Captain Goodwin will have absolute responsibility for what goes on here -- heavy burden to bear. The United States will rely on him to take this ship to sea and carry out the Nation's business. We will hold Captain Goodwin accountable for outcomes because we believe in him.
Talking about how the crew pledged to defend and support the Constitution as they serve on this ship.
We pick ship Captains very carefully. As Commanding office Captain Goodwin will know the joy and loneliness of command.
Have great faith that brings him this moment. Wish the crew and him great success.
Reagan was a great believer in having the national defense prepared. The American Taxpayer has invested heavily in this carrier and may your every action and deed reflect on the person this carrier is named for -- to Capt Goodwin.
Capt Goodwin now stepping forward to take Command.

Admiral Natter, Commander, Atlantic Fleet, now speaking. He is thrilled to be there -- he is just estatic as he is talking!
His enthusiasm is something that everyone should watch.
Being prepared requires us to be watchful -- the USS Reagan will now be stood as long as she remains in serve. 24 hours, 7 days a week, these men and women will stand watch. Ordering the setting of Ronald Reagan's First Watch!

First watch has just been set.

My husband and I moved from Norfolk 5 years ago. I wish I could be there now to see Reagan, nobody can believe just how awsome in size a carrier is until they see it up close.
(my husband was also active duty on subs)

That is neat!
Now setting the First Watch of the USS Ronald Reagan and blowing the whistle for the first members of the Watch to set their Watch.
We proudly Stand the Watch!

Mrs. Reagan is about to bring the ship to life.

It's a nuclear powered craft - and yes, it's 20 years before it will need refueling.
Nuclear power makes sense, which is why liberals will never understand it.

I'm taking very close looks at the area surrounding the ship trying to figure out where at the base this is taking place.
Any idea where they have it docked?
