Homer: "MMMMMM.....64 slices of American Cheese."
Marge: "Homer, did you just eat 64 slices of American cheese?"
Homer: "I think I'm blind."

Arnold N. Nawrocki, inventor of individual cheese slices, will be buried this weekend in a life size version of the plastic wrapper that brought him fame and fortune. "He wouldn't have wanted it any other way" said his family. Good bye, Cheesy Man!

had to be that little 1\4" edege on the cheese that always

Arnold N. Nawrocki, the man widely credited with bringing individually wrapped slices of cheese into the homes of millions of families in the 1950s, has died at 78. It's a shame it wasn't 75 years ago.
Cheese slices are a true crime against humanity.

Don't like sliced cheese? What are you, French? Hmm?

Nonsense! Two slices of processed cheese(only the "cheddar" radioactive orange kind will do), two slices of white bread, (Wonder Bread is of course ideal) and a big dollop of mayo equals the finest thing you can put in your mouth!
I'm living in a dorm this Fall, and I fully intend to live on these exquisite culinary treats. Coupled with a cigarette, and two multi-vitamins I will be as well viticuled as any among you!Any of you!
Uh. Yes. Well. If anyone has a nice online recipe book they could point out to me, I'd be pleased to accept it. Thank you.

I've been asking this question since I was a teenager:
The package says "individually wrapped". By who? I'd like to know who has had their hands on my cheese. At the very least a small piece of paper should be inserted in each pack that announces something like "Wrapped by #5", kinda like those "Inspected by #5" slips you used to get in packs of underwear.
Can you really make a living wrapping cheese? Do cheese wrappers have a good union? Don't think so, since I've never heard of a cheese wrapper strike. I mean, I've never walked into a grocery store and found the cheese section empty.

Don't like sliced cheese? What are you, French? Hmm? No, Old Fashioned.
I preferred it when groceries had wheels of unrefridgerated cheddar they cut and wrapped to order.

Nawrocki recieved a $1 bonus check from his company for inventing a machine which could package 600 slices of cheese a minute. Nawrocki was granted 11 other patents . Swift and
Clearfield Cheese paid him a buck each for those as well.

Just a good-natured joke intended, and no offense. Personally I like my cheese the traditional way - right from the CheezWiz nozzle!
