***America Under Enemy Attack: The Media Spins Everything Against The Country***

It is way beyond clear that the media in America, with but a VERY few exceptions, (and they are also under attack)are doing everything in their power to undermine the stability of the government and the country as a whole

Untill recently, this clear enemy attack wasn't so obvious, being disguised as poiltical party fighting and "standard" discourse, but with each passing day it becomes clearer that the media is attacking our country from within, to do what armies from without could not do.

In a coordinated effort the media has in recent weeks: Lied about the book sales of America's number one female threat, (as demomstarated in her abuse of FBI files and the other dead left behind), portrayed simple one line statements by the President as justification for war in Iraq, has hammered the removal of a tyrant instead of praising same, has beat the drum against the improvemts in that country while offering no praise for the trememdous accomplishments acheived, and taken every opportunity to attack the economic recovery that should be being heralded;

They have tried to down play every positive event and gesture of our President, while covering up every failure by the democrats and the EU to harm our nation...

In short, vast parts of the media have joined forces against the best interests of the nation as a whole, tanamount to treason.....

Every baseless, empty charge that the pathetic democrat hopefuls, praying at the feet of the god power, spew forth is reported as gospel on page one, while all good and positive stories are slanted and misfigured into negativity.....

Wake up America, you are under atttack by the vicious cabal of media and democrat activists who want to destroy your justice systems for their own ends, and want medical malpractice suits by greedy democrat lawyers to destroy the medical profession so they can control whether you live or die.....

On Whole, I can't disagree with anything you've said.

I've also noticed, more like sensed, that Conservatives are taking a more direct and in-your-face approach to the attack. My big concern is all the ignorant and illegal people in the country who eat up the Left's rhetoric.

And in spite of this I still think we're 'winning.' Go Figure.

While shaving just now, and flipping between Imus and Bloomberg radio, I heard the NBC White House "reporter" David Gregory, live in Africa, give a rambling, sneering discourse about the Iraq/uranium topic on WFAN, while the Bloomberg reporter said the President got a rousing welcome in Botswana from thousands of cheering, flag-waving children.

No mainstream bias here, oh no.

Before the Clintons showed up to dominate our country the media was a lot more balanced, they even did more real reporting. The Clintons have distorted everything. Even Hollywood was far less political. I wonder if we'll ever get over what they have done to us. But we may well be "winning" in spite of it all, as someone else said on this thread. The latest attack, about the supposed "lie", has me concerned though. Too many get their "information" from limited sources and if they think Pres. Bush is a liar it could weaken him where he has been strongest, "character" & leadership.

I doubt that Hollywood was not politically wired prior to Clinton taking office...the little dears just became more obnoxious because they sensed someone of their ilk was in power. (Thus causing Babs to state something along the lines that we as 'artists' are 'free' again). They of course failed to realize that the amoral Bubba would've just as soon tossed them overboard as look at them, the instant they ceased being useful to him. And if we think he is without moral conviction, wait till his significant other becomes our next president in 2008...(please no comments about beginning the line with 'and', I know it's tres gauche...)

First, I think most people here would accuse me of being a "Bushbot." I'm an unabashed optimist.

That said, this is a rough time, and it's hard to spin the news any other way:

1) Our spy agencies have flat sucked. If WMDs were in Iraq, the spies did not pin down their location well enough that we can produce them---at least not yet. This looks bad. (And, yes, I know, WMDs were not the only reason for going in---which I supported and still do---but they were a primary reason).

2) The constant sniping and RPG-ing of our troops, while relatively, by historical post-war standards, is at low levels nevertheless "appears" in the media (even Fox, which leads with this every day) to be a gigantic problem.

3) The inability to produce living or dead Saddams or Osamas is becoming another spy-related problem. (And I have maintained for months that the latter is dust.)

4) The economy is still labor sluggish, and if that continues, it will drag the stock market back down.

5) The USSC has turned out two pitiful decisions; the U.S. Senate is holding moronic hearings about Rush Limbaugh; and Bush has done himself no favors by backing a "prescription drug plan" and CFR.

Bottom line: events have coalesced into a "bad news" cycle, which happens; the administration and some of its agencies have not performed well in espionage for a number of legitimate reasons; and Bush personally has (I think, because he sincerely believes in the issues) taken some rather liberal positions that are hurting him with conservativse. ALL THAT SAID, FOLKS, news cycles turn; either Saddam will be caught, killed, or some WMDs found; there will be just enough of a terrorist attack on the U.S. to remind everyone that we are in a war; and productivity will at some point (it's an economic law) start to generate new jobs. Given more than a year until the election, I think the GOP will be in good shape, and the media will have egg on its face again.
