SAN FRANCISCO, July 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) lauded MSNBC's decision to remove Michael Savage's show from the air, following Savage's anti-gay remarks last weekend.

At a taping of his show, Savage reportedly told a gay caller: "You should only get AIDS and die, you pig." According to news reports, these comments prompted MSNBC to fire Savage.

Jonathan Bernstein, ADL Regional Director, said, "We commend MSNBC for taking this matter seriously. By removing hateful rhetoric from the airwaves, they are helping to promote tolerance and safety for all people."

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism and all forms of hate through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.

I don't care about these bums, they mean nothing to me. They're all sausages.

I wonder why Savage is so obsessed with "bums" and "sausages."

Actually, the trichinosis comment does have something to do with sausages. I think this guy is saying he does not highly esteem people who eat pork or pork products. That is, he is not a Spam fan.

Is this Savage guy secretly a Moslem or something?

I heard a replay of the whole thing, and I think Savage was just doing his "schtick". Over the top for sure, but thats Savage, no one should take his tirades seriously. I think the whole thing is overblown.

Having said that, I dont really prefer Savage or his manner, I just dont think its constructive to the conservative cause in general.

Well, he is a Jew. His real name is "Russel Weiner."

He is?! Does the ADL know this?

There are lots of anti-semites who will really enjoy having ADL chase around Jewish guys.

I heard his show tonight. KRLA will have better odds of the Clintons telling where all the bodies are buried, Bubba admitting coke use and Hitlery admitting she has lebian Nazi torture fantasies with her girlfriends before Savage will apologize. I concur with Savage. I don't always like his show, but the gay brown shirts have been gunning for him for years. Too bad. I'm sure that when they come gunning for FR, there will be just as much conjecture about what biggots and facists we are too (as they already say on DUh).

I'm sure they do. They probably investigated him as a potential hatemonger (they investigate all sorts of public figures)...

We always eat our own. We never stand up for anyone.

You are so right. This country is in a street brawl for its very life and many conservatives are worried about getting a bloody nose. Savage fights fire with fire and about the only other guy who is willing to kick the left in the groin is Ted Nugent.

The left says they are sorry it is OK.

What leftist ever said that they're sorry ?

Nobody banishes Malveaux from appearing on that channel

I'm glad you brought that up. It's the same when Alec Baldwin wanted to stone Henry Hyde and his family.

BTW. Does anyone remember Spike Lee saying something about Charlton Heston after Columbine?

That it's OK to wish AIDS on someone, as long as nobody hears it?

Don't get too worked up; they wish it on themselves, it's called "barebacking." Gaining popularity among the homosex crowd, according to the CDC stats showing an unfortunate increase in new AIDS cases among that particular demographic.

I listened to Michael Savage ... until I discovered Alex Jones

I listened to Alex long before I heard Savage. Savage suffers from a lack of substance.

Mike Savage is very entertaining and in my opinion right about most things. It is unfortunate that he lost his cool and wished AIDS and death on the homosexual who was baiting him. Nevertheless I'll still listen to his program via radio. The guy pulls no punches so to speak.

Also what about that Alex Baldwin creep's cruel and stupid remarks directed against Henry Hyde and his family? What about the pathetic Nina Tottenberg's remarks about Justice Clarence Thomas? What about the idiot Bryant Gumbel's remarks about the boyscout leader? etc. etc. I think that since Savage was fired that the RATS who were mentioned above and others of their ilk should also be fired and/or boycotted for expressing their wishes of death to decent American citizens.

About Alex Jones. I like him too and listen to his programs via the internet. If you haven't already, you might also want to check out Steve Quayle's site.

"Does anyone remember Spike Lee saying something about Charlton Heston after Columbine?"

Yes. Spike Lee publicly stated that Charleton Heston, spokesman for the NRA, should be blown away with a "Bulldog .44."

Not a peep out of the media.

Then there was talk show host Craig Kilborne, who displayed a picture of President Bush in cross-hairs, captioned "Snipers Wanted."

Not a peep out of the media about that, either.

Kilborne wasn't fired and Spike Lee suffered no loss of access to the media, either.

Let's all rush to plunge our swords into the dead dragon's corpse.

I only want to pile on if everybody else piles on first. Then I will feel safe.

Besides, who ever heard of MSNBC? Are they a premium channel or something?

They were EATING sauasages on that show. Someothing about them grilling some food I hear. There was also supposed to be some sort of a set mocked up like an airplane.

I don't have cable so I don't know the specifics.

Do the words bum and sausage mean something special to you?

Must be. The only NBC my tv gets is a broadcast channel and I only put that on to see Conan O'Brien occassionally.
