That's not quite as bad as what Savage said; but I thought she was supposed to be an 'objective journalist'?

I find it to be far worse because she meant what she said. What makes it not so bad? Because Jesse Helms "deserves it" as a part of cosmic irony?
She even wished it upon his grandchildren. Far far worse.
Michael Savage's comment was "drop dead" in explicit terms to an insulting troll of a caller. Trolls aren't treated nicely on FR either. I was unaware that Jesse Helms ever personally insulted Nina Totenberg.

I agree with all your comments. Anytime the ADL can shut someone up for saying things they don't approve of, they will. Small wonder they applaud when others with an axe to grind succeed in stifling Free Speech.
