NEW YORK - MSNBC on Monday fired Michael Savage for anti-gay comments.
The popular radio talk show host who did a weekend TV show for the cable channel referred to an unidentified caller to his show Saturday as a "sodomite" and said he should "get AIDS and die."

There's no such thing as that. It's an Orwellian word, such as 'gay.'

Sometimes it's good to bring right-thinking people into a field of muddy thought. ;-)

Hoisted on his own petard! Not one, but at least two steps beyond the boundaries of being decent. May your career RIP.

Savage is good at calling a spade, a spade.
He was most likely set up for this "firing" by MSNBC from the beginning.
We still love ya' Michael (We never watch PMSNBC anyway, except to read the newest Bush-bashing).

Many
are in the party. It's just that being of their persuasion they are afraid to admit it for fear of being 'outed' by the radical types like the Hollywood idiots for instance. But the Hollywood left doesn't know what they do in the voting booth!
I'm not a heartless bastard (my niece is gay, but I don't hate her), but when common sense goes out the window I get as pissed as Savage and almost throw my hands up and say to hell with the whole system.
I believe I know what you mean and are talking about the radical, bottom feeder NAMBLA type perverts!

Just a sign of not being able to back up your arguments. Probably means you're wrong. Don't try the debating club. You mean me telling you to scr#w yourself and calling you an ignorant moron is a sign that I'm wrong and can't properly debate you? You're saying it means I can't back up my arguments?
Gee, I wonder what it would've meant if I told you to go choke on a sausage instead and that I hoped you'd die of breast cancer, SARS, cervical cancer, or AIDS.
I'm sure if I said those things to you, you'd want MSNBC to hire me and give me a fat bonus....

And now with the Supreme Court Justice saying that precedent or laws from other countries have to be taken into consideration when "interpreting" the Constitution, that type of speech restriction may be seen in a theatre near you soon. Michael Savage referenced this Justice tonight. Not in reference to people going after him, just think of our Constitution having to conform to other nations.
You can forget about that second ammendment right now. That first ammendment doesn't mean much in other countries either.

" Did you know that in England not too long ago it became illegal to publicly use the word "homosexual"? It's too negative, the word "gay" has to be used."
Where did you hear this? I'd like to read about it.

I'm going to go ahead and offer my opinion without having read the nearly 900 posts on this thread.
Savage has moments when he is so insightful, so truthful that he is a real gem. The rest of the time he is just an old crank. The old crank part of him got him fired.
