"Bring 'em on!"
With that one little phrase, President George W. Bush has set liberals clucking their tongues like they haven't clucked since Ronald Reagan called the former Soviet Union an evil empire.
Was this really an appropriate remark for the leader of the free world? Didn't this amount to a taunt of America's enemies to attack our troops? One Democrat presidential candidate even said that it sounded more like a comment from a gang leader than the President of the United States.
Of course, the term "cowboy" is again being heard across the land. Well, cowboys are quintessentially American, and like most Americans, I love it when my president talks like that. It gives me confidence that he is not playing games with those who would do harm to my country. We know exactly where he stands, and so do our enemies, just as they did with Reagan. Also, like most Americans, I have not forgotten Sept. 11 of two years ago.

In defense of the Democrats, it was only Al Sharpton.

DITTO.
Screw the lily livered pu**ies who scream, oh the President can't talk like that. It's because of President's who did not talk like that as the reason forthe current state of tension and terrorism.

Was this really an appropriate remark for the leader of the free world? For the lurkers from DU who are licking their chops over this, allow me to offer a comparison:
Current president to the evil-doers of the world: "Bring it on!"
Previous president: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky."
As Fox News would say...We report, YOU decide.

Nice job, you beat me by two minutes!

It's a good thing for GW that 9-11 happened because w/o it he would be gone next yr. With it, the louder he yells the more Americans like. The downer here is that America will not be taken down externally but we will/are being destroyed internally & this president is another willing accomplice in the arena.

No kidding. "Bring it on" shows GUTS. It's about time we stand up again and speak that way. President Bush is a real man who is up for the fight if need be. He doesn't worry about polls and he isn't driven by others. He does what is right and thank God for that. We had enough of the other guy for 8 years. "Bring it On."
To: Digger
Hopefully you are not equating an 'external' terrorist...to President GW Bush as a 'domestic' terrorist.

Poll from that page:
Sen. Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) said that he supported an amendment to the Constitution that would ban any marriage in the United States except a union of a man and a woman. Would you support such an amendment?
Currently 60% say "NO". Get FReeping.

I was kinda hoping for: "can't we all just get along." It's certainly nice to finally know what Democratic standard is for "unpresidential" behaviour. I was beginning to wonder just what it took to offend a Democrat. After all, getting a quicky with an intern while discussing troop movements in Bosnia with a senator certainly wasn't described as unpresidential behaviour...nor was letting a foreign dignatary (Arafat) wait around so Clinton could be serviced. But by golly, "bring it on" has the Democrats in a rage. It's just nice to know what their standard is for outrage.

Reversed Clinton's move to strike Reagan's anti-abortion Mexico Policy.

Changed the tone in the White House, restoring HONOR and DIGNITY to the Presidency
Reorganized bureaucracy...after 9/11, condensed 20+ overlapping agencies and their intelligence sectors into one agency: the Department of Homeland Security.
Initiated discussion on Social security and individual investment accounts.
Improving govt. efficiency with .8 million jobs put up for bid...weakening unions and cutting undeserved pay raises. Wants merit based promotions/raises only.

Endorses and promotes The Responsibility Era ("In a compassionate society, people respect one another and take responsibility for the decisions they make in life. My hope is to change the culture from one that has said, if it feels good, do it; if you've got a problem, blame somebody else -- to one in which every single American understands that he or she are responsible for the decisions that you make; you're responsible for loving your children with all your heart and all your soul; you're responsible for being involved with the quality of the education of your children; you're responsible for making sure the community in which you live is safe; you're responsible for loving your neighbor, just like you would like to be loved yourself. " -----this quote was too good to leave out)

"It's a good thing for GW that 9-11 happened because w/o it he would be gone next yr."
That's an assinine thing to say. Bush has cut more taxes than Reagan, armed pilots, killed the Kyoto Treaty, pulled out of the U.S. - CCCP Treaty, and has restored dignity and honor and respect to the White House.
No matter how much you whined and no matter what external events happened, Bush was always going to be re-elected. Also, see the post above for more Bush accomplishments.
