CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 5 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The following was released today by Operation Save America/Operation Rescue:
Today, the police department of the city of Charlotte, N.C. showed its true colors. With Sergeant B.J. Decker in the lead, Flip Benham, director of Operation Save America/Operation Rescue, was arrested for praying at a Charlotte abortion mill.
Interestingly enough, praying seems to be a problem for Sergeant Decker whereas stealing is something to be winked at and ignored. Several weeks ago, an abortion worker destroyed one of Reverend Benham's pro-life signs and stole two others while Sergeant Decker watched and did nothing.
Why would the Charlotte police want to silence Reverend Benham? Because they know they are sworn to protect life and they are failing miserably. There are three killing centers in Charlotte where little baby boys and girls are being ripped apart in their mother's wombs all in the name of choice. Someone must speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. By their actions, the Charlotte police are aiding and abetting those who would take the lives of the Lord's precious children. It is time for the Church of Jesus Christ to rise up to her high calling and defend these precious little ones.
During the week of July 12-20, gentle Christians from all over the country will be converging on Charlotte to proclaim that Jesus is Lord in this city and not Sergeant Decker. You can arrest us one leader at a time, but you will not silence our message. The Lord Himself is a strong Defender of the defenseless.
Church of the Living God, we are the ones who must raise up a standard in this nation. We are the ones who must maintain justice. The Charlotte police will not. They have perverted justice in the streets today and now find themselves aligned with the enemies of God -- the abortion industry. God will not bless this city. "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone against you from the Lord." 2 Chronicles 19:2.
Sergeant Decker, hear the word of the Lord today, "Consider what you do, for you judge not for man but for the Lord. He is with you in giving judgment. Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes." 2 Chronicles 19:6-7.

HELLO, my city. What's up with this??? Any info on which abortion place it was?
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The leader of Operation Rescue/Operation Save America has moved from Dallas to Concord, N.C., to continue his fights against abortion and homosexuality.
The Rev. Philip "Flip" Benham, 55, has staged many publicized anti- abortion events in the past decade. The conservative Protestant minister won fame in 1995 by baptizing Norma McCorvey, the anonymous "Jane Roe" in the Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortion.
Benham is now a common figure outside Charlotte abortion clinics. At the group's annual conference in Charlotte July 12-20, participants plan to hold a funeral for aborted fetuses and read the Bible in front of churches and mosques.
Benham, who operates from a two-room office, says local pastors give little support. "The evangelical church has been asleep here in Charlotte," he said. "It's as if they've got this awkward peace with the abortion industry."
In addition to his anti-abortion activism, Benham disrupted a recent gay and lesbian festival in Charlotte, screaming throughout a commitment ceremony for more than a dozen couples.
Still, he said he cheered last month's capture of Eric Rudolph, who is accused of bombing two abortion clinics, a gay nightclub and an Olympics event.
"This man was no anti-abortionist," he said. "This man was mad at the world."
Based on the information in Reply #9, the above statement is a complete lie.
I've little use for religious zealots, but I don't like the law being written on the streets rather than in the state houses.
If I were he, I would request the testimony of a licensed surveyor.
Yup. Let's play "double or nothing."
The key here are those boundary stakes and the camera--they were placed on the PREVIOUSLY SURVEYED property line.
BTW, I am pro-life. However, I do *NOT* support the village idiot's tactics merely because he is pro-life.
