Hi lovely sistahs and brotha Louie. Just got back from an awesome BBQ with way too much food. An unexpected downpour/thunderstorm got us all scrambling inside but within an hour the sun was shining and the temperature cooled down about 10 degrees.

Our president was received by an "adoring crowd" in Dayton today. Felt good knowing he was in our great state. Hope you all enjoy the fireworks and festivities tonight!

Having another thunderstorm and fireworks rescheduled to tomorrow. A new 4th of July tradition is to rent the movie Independence Day. The president in it reminds me of our very own beloved GW! Happy independence day sweet Maggie.

Thank you for your words, dutchess, and for devoting so much time to bringing us pleasure here.
It cannot be easy to juggle work and home and all the things you do for the Finest, and we appreciate all that the hostesses do so very much.

My fondest memories of Independence Day Celebrations were those spent on military bases when my three children were young.
The displays were always elaborate, and emotions high as part of the forces that make our freedom possible.
