A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

* Independence Day * 4th of July * America's Birthday *
The Declaration of Independence, unanimously declared by the thirteen United States of America, was adopted on July 4, 1776.
"Hallowed be the day, forever bright its memory in the heart of the Nation. Sing to it, poets; shout to it, freemen; Celebrate it with bonfires, parades and triumphant assemblies."
(Daily Alta California, 4 July 1855)
September 11, 2001
"Each of us will remember what happened that day, and to whom it happened. We'll remember the moment the news came, where we were and what we were doing...I will not forget the wound to our country and those who inflicted it. I will not yield, I will not rest, I will not relent in waging this struggle for freedom and security for the American people." ~ President George W. Bush, September 20, 2001
* God Bless America * * God Bless our Leaders * * God Bless our Warriors * and God Bless You.
From all of us to all of you, our Finest FReeper FRiends, please have a safe and enjoyable Holiday. This thread will be here all weekend for those who might be in town and want to drop in from time to time.

Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

It was fun - am glad you alerted me to Gail's graphic yesterday. Anxious for Free to see this, because she was the 'most' fun to doctor up! I just picture her like that as a little girl!

We're going down to the National Mall to see the real fireworks. We'll stay safe! I'll say "hello" to Dolly Parton for you all!

After oooohhhing and awwwwing at the fireworks display and recovering from the shock of the 3:13 am post time (fess up, did another hostess post this for you?) I wish'ya a Happy 4th. :-)I'll play like you didn't say that part of your post which I'm ignoring..... and wish you a Happy 4th, too! And furthermore, I really do like that old-fashioned 4th of July graphic you posted. :)
Thank you, too, for not mentioning I goofed on three of my earlier bluebirds I posted. That was charitable of you. :)

I thought I had lost this but finally located it tucked away in a folder buried under a bunch of other 'stuff'. This is my favorite 4th of July graphic ~ one of my first 'gif gifts' from our wolf friend.
I am taking a break from hedge trimming out front to stop by and say hello again and see all the beautiful patriotic graphics on the thread. But, break time is over, time to get back at it.
Will be firing up the grill soon. Y'all are invited for barbecued chicken. :-)

Your wolfie Independence Day 'greeting' is wonderful - always a treat to see the way you put together such cute graphics and give it the personal wolfie touch. (Even if you did 'borrow' John's hat) :)

There you are! Happy 4th, Freezie! My mother never braided my hair - and of course I used to want them because my hair was curly, and I thought these sleek braids were so neat!

You're welcome. Hope I didn't offend anyone playing the Whitney Houston version of The Star Spangled Banner but she does sing well and I liked the crowds reaction to it.
Already had the BBQ ribs and praline peach cobbler, leaving soon to watch our country style fireworks. Will probably be a fraction of what our lucky Free gets to see at the Mall but will be appreciated in the right spirit. :)
BTW...I saved those hostess graphics. :)
