Hillary Freep in Corte Madera, CA - After Action Report

Marin County CA, home of Ratboy Johnny Jihad and other forms of leftist lunacy, was the site of yet another FReep of Shrillery Rotten Clinton on her book tour. Of course, being in such a liberal area, her visit promted the swarm of Klinton Kool-Aid Drinkers and other assorted sheeple to come out for an autographed copy of her book.

Freeper Honor Roll: stratman1969 and wife, byteback, Mediaqueen, SFChick and old mare. In addition, we had four other people with us there (if any of you are FReepers and I missed your screen name, my apologies.)

We stood across the street from Book Passage with our signs. I held a blown up copy of the "Lying History" cover and other signs there included "Hillary Knew," "Welcome From The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy," and another mock copy of the book cover "Living With My Lies," which had the Hildebeast with a Pinochio nose.

The Kool-Aid drinkers were lined up outside the bookstore and around the corner. There was no talk, no questions answered (Surprise!!!!) and no photos with her. She was actually signing books. Many who drove by gave us thumbs up and a few yelled things like "Get a Life", etc. One car of three large women drove by and gave us the finger. Later, a couple came across the street and the guy wanted to lecture us about "people's private lives."

A three car caravan brought her to the event, passing right by our signs. In addition, some photographers from the Marin IJ and the San Francisco Chronicle came by to take photos. Channel 5 also came by to film us and do some interviews.

Will be watching the 11 o'clock news tonight to see if our group made it on and check the papers tomorrow. Will post articles and photos if some appear.

It appears that we will be able to assemble on the PUBLIC sidewalk directly in front of the store, on Colorado Boulevard - VERY CLOSE to the sheep line.

We suggest that the BULK of our forces plan to be there at 10 am, and stay until the Hildabeast leaves - at around 1 pm.

I recommend that we park in the HUGE parking structure about one block east of Vroman's - behind the Target store, which is located at the northeast corner Oak Knoll and Colorado.

That Target store even has a small food court where we can meet for the post-FReep fellowship and after-action review.

Excellent report. You covered everything but Mediaqueen's sign "It takes an idiot to enable a predator" and another asking about Juanita, Kathleen, Elizabeth, etc. A reporter from the Santa Rosa Press Democrat was surprised that we were all local people. She said she hadn't found any local people waiting in the line to buy books. Some were from Sacramento and many were from the East Bay.

In addition, an unnamed man managed to stand right next to Hillary's car when she emerged and, while the crowd clapped, he booed so loudly he drowned out the cheers. He says Hillary was very surprised at the mixed reception, but her Secret Service detail smiled. He was back in place for her departure. He also reported that the line had many challengers to the Clinton party line, so those worshippers had to defend themselves.

Today was more fun than I expected. (Yesterday at the SF Airport Marriot was exhausting because of the constant barrage of name calling and attempted intimidation from the ANSWER crowd. A plain clothes secret service man or campaign worker stopped to tell us the President thanked us for being there. That and seeing Air Force One take off was our reward.)

I was proud we could show Mrs. Clinton that Freepers are everywhere and she will not escape dissenters even in Boxer's Marin County.

I'm so glad the DC Chapter got to take the weekend off. It's about time. We owe you BIG TIME.

Kucinich opened his California Headquarters in Corte Madera about 2 weeks ago. His office is at 21 Tamal Vista Blvd., just a short distance from Book Passage. Either the rent is good, or he figures he's a perfect match for the liberal mindset here. Either way, there are more bumper stickers for him than any other liberal candidate.

You mentioned the SF Airport Marriot yesterday. The Contra Costa Times had a big article about the ANSWER crowd and how large it was, with several quotes. There was one "interview" with one pro-Bush person and no mention that there was a FReep in support of the President. The paper said that there were 800-1,000 ANSWER protesters there, but the pictures they had in the paper didn't show anyone but three individuals who were holding signs.

There may have been 1,000 ANSWER protesters. It is hard to estimate. Protesters and supporters were kept behind police barricades on the west side of the street. We had a sidewalk and a small part of the street. There was no specific place for the supporters, at least none that we learned of. We set up across from the hotel with a banner we attached to the fence, signs and flags. The ANSWER crowd quickly surrounded us and tried to intimidate us by using their megaphones for chants into our heads and by elbowing and light touching. Whenever a press person approached or asked us a question, they blared louder or moved in between us.

I fault the Republican organizers in part for this. Perhaps there was a separate area for supporters, but, if so, County Committees should have gotten the word out. The presidential campaign staff should be sure there is street space for supporters. ANSWER is organized. Supporters were scattered in unorganized groups of 2-5 along the street for many blocks. Even the reporters had trouble hearing our responses to questions. I suggested to all of them they start to investigate and report on ANSWER and who's paying their bills.

Well first thanks for showing up so I could experience my first Freep.

That guy who booed was great because he was blending in real well talking to all the crazies so they thought he was one of them. I was standing next to him and the crowd didn't know what to make of him. The comebacks were "Go back to Texas" and my favorite "You're just an angry white Christian". The guy yelling that was white so I guess he hates himself. In Marin I never get the putdown of whites calling me white as an insult.

Mediaqueen's sign was my favorite as well. It was small but I think I may show my face at a few more of these.

I know it's too much to ask that the Park Ridge Hildabeast would dare come to North Texas for one of her famous auto-pen book pseudo-signings (not only didn't she write the book, she can't even be bothered to sign them either!) but I'd love to lead a Freep where all Freepers just get in line with the book buyers - all wearing large (at least 6 inch diameter) pins with Freeps such as Juanita's photo and words such as True History...or Jennifer's photo -- or Dolly's especially since this is N Texas where Dolly lives!
Then, wait for the audience with "The queen" - stand close so she has to see the pins - then walk on without saying a thing - or perhaps a well chosen simple line, like ..."they can't all be lying, why are you?" - Granted we'd all have to fork out the cash for this ridiculous tome, but then we could deposit it in the trash can by the front door for all the world, including the press to see !! I think that would justify the cost! But, I know she won't be venturing to Bush country anytime soon as her disdain for fly-over country is rather obvious....
