NEW DELHI: With Sino-India ties on an upswing, especially after Prime Minister Vajpayee's "successful" visit to China, the two countries now plan to hold the first-ever joint exercise between their navies later this year.

Navy vice-chief Vice Admiral John DeSilva, speaking on the sidelines of a ceremony to flag in a naval mountaineering expedition on Friday, said a three-day search and rescue exercise was being planned in which warships from the two countries would take part...

In recent months, India has commenced "some cooperation" with the Chinese People's Liberation Army. With the thaw in relations, for instance, Indian and Chinese warships have been exchanging port calls with each other. There has also been some officer-level exchanges in each other's military institutions.

Unfortunately, foggy-bottom is shot through with folks who support the other side in this.

Your premise though--if I remember--does not touch upon how American policy blundering -and our alliance to Saudi pro Muslim foreign policy - drove those nations--each with Muslim rebels backed by the Saudis and winked at by Washington - into each other's arms.

Seeings how America has been arming and training its enemies for years and our special forces have been training the Chinese forces and our presidents have been selling China neuclear secrets for over a decade , it's just a matter of time before we have to face another American made enemy.

All in the name of profit , I mean Peace.

In book one, I delve heavily into the Red China - India situation and how our support of Pakistan had driven India.

I also, in not as a great a length, go into our foreign policy in the Mid East and how our efforts to "balance" the situation because of what I consider to be the artificial need for oil out of that region, failing to take advantage of and develop our own oil, nuclear power and alternate energy sources, have set up the situation there.

Those two issues, among others, along with the manipulations and planning of leaders who come to power with the will to take advantage of the situation, allow for the creation of the Coalition of Asian States (CAS) and the Greater Islamic Republic (GIR) who are the principle adversaries throughout the Dragon's Fury Series

Best Fregards.

China certainly fits that definition, and will probably be the worst one yet when it hits the fan one day IMHO.

That's why the books are being written, to point out the foolishness and the very real danger.

Exactly. And I predict our navy will witness major bungling and uncoordinated movements from the Chinese navy.

We are a much more positive thinking country and stand tall above jealousy and fear of two other countries forming alliances. Maybe they will learn good things from each other.

We drove India to get a lot of military h/w from the Russians...we'd best wake up and not drive them to the PRC.

I agree. We forget that India had the atomic bomb back in 1974, but it signed the Nuclear Test Ban treaty along with almost everybody else including the US. India stopped its development. Well, NOBODY else -- not France, the US, USSR, China -- played by the rules and stopped their development. India was justifiably, IMHO, vulnerable at being caught between Pakistan and China, who were obviously allies and sharing technology. If nobody else plays by the rules, why should they? Remember, we are talking about the world's largest free-market democracy caught alone in a region of communists and dictatorships. The US should pay more attention to them or they will be driven to secure their borders in the best way they know how, which might make us scared.

Exactly. Couldn't agree more.

In Dragon's Fury one scenario regarding how they are driven to do that forms a part of the overall geo-political scenario for the Wrold War that developes out of it.

Yes, a short term profit. We keeping sending moeny to Pak and it keeps getting used to fund terror against us. We send weapons and they're used against us.

It's about time we stopped funding the slamofascists.

The Cold war is over, and it's time to forge new alliances for the next, civilisational war and we've got more in common with the Orthodox and Indian civilisations than with the slamic or confucian.

True and their weapons aren't going to be pointed at US. What's that old saying, The enemy or my enemy is my friend. Our enemies right now are slamofascists and chicoms and their enemy is , hey hey hey, Israel and India.

If we would just grow up and be a Christian Nation instead of allowing the capitalist to hide Christianity from our children , making them good corporate citizens and corporate mercenaries , I believe good things would follow.

But if we continue to believe the lies we are told there is only misery down the road we are on.

And the people profiting from these wars don't fight and die in them , they just continue to remain in control as we lose our Freedoms.

But hey , we can still say "We're Free" , it just doesn't mean much anymore. Just like " It's still better than most places in the world " is getting to be less true.

I have to wonder if marching off to war gives us a feeling of purpose which is lacking in our society , so we believe it's a good thing instead of the evil thing it really is.

I understand Jeff and that's the same reason I say the things I say.

America is losing its faith in Christ and following the laws of corrupt men.

The cost is going to be more than we can bear.

I will keep my Faith in Christ and try to keep my guns.

I guess even if I don't make it to the otherside of what happens here and continue to be a witness , I go out a winner.

Peace is worth the price and the only One offering Peace is Jesus Christ.

Peace be with you and your family. :-)
