We drove India to get a lot of military h/w from the Russians...we'd best wake up and not drive them to the PRC.

I agree. We forget that India had the atomic bomb back in 1974, but it signed the Nuclear Test Ban treaty along with almost everybody else including the US. India stopped its development. Well, NOBODY else -- not France, the US, USSR, China -- played by the rules and stopped their development. India was justifiably, IMHO, vulnerable at being caught between Pakistan and China, who were obviously allies and sharing technology. If nobody else plays by the rules, why should they? Remember, we are talking about the world's largest free-market democracy caught alone in a region of communists and dictatorships. The US should pay more attention to them or they will be driven to secure their borders in the best way they know how, which might make us scared.

Exactly. Couldn't agree more.

In Dragon's Fury one scenario regarding how they are driven to do that forms a part of the overall geo-political scenario for the Wrold War that developes out of it.
