However, to take this to mean that same sex marrage is mandated by the constitution? Come on! Marrage is a legal entity designed for the upbringing of children. Two men alone, or two women alone CANNOT conceve a child, nor should they be allowed to raise one!

Do you also think that we should ban smoking and drinking because it affects health? How about fatty foods? Should the government mandate that it's SUBJECTS eat nothing but fruits and veggies? Should it mandate exercise for all it's SUBJECTS?

Lack of sleep also affects public health, much more so than HIV does. Sleepy drivers often fall asleep at the wheel and kill innocent people. Should we have a police officer in ever SUBJECT'S bedroom making sure he or she gets a full 8 hrs of restfull sleep before driving? Where does it end?

I prefer to live in a free society, where I am a CITIZEN, rather than a SUBJECT. If you want to be a SUBJECT, then feel free to move to Red China or North Korea.

Let them explain to the young children who are there why this is to be accepted as normal, just like mommy and daddy except that it's not the same. It never, never, never will be the same as their mommy and daddy. Homosexuals: 1) subject their body parts to uses nature did not intend, such activities often presenting immediate risk to the participants; 2) are prone to greater suicide, depression and other mental disorders and deficiencies than the heterosexual population at large; 3) are prone to far greater sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS, than the (normal) heterosexual population; 4) molest young people (pedophilia) at a far greater rate than heterosexuals; 5) engage in degrading sexual promiscuity, oftentimes engaging in risky sex with many partners during the same event; 6) are engaged in aggressive and widespread efforts to indoctrinate our children by introducing the homosexual lifestyle using public schools as the primary indoctrination “vehicle” and likewise, through the movie/music/TV industry, with the dual goals of gaining school-age acceptance of homosexuality and encouraging sexual activity among children, especially same-sex experimentation; 7) view most everything through a mindset heavily biased in favor of the homosexual lifestyle and culture, which renders them mostly useless when asked to opine on matters that normal heterosexuals better resolve.

The mental deficiencies described herein applying to homosexuals shall not be confused with the deficiencies associated with the left wing democrat/socialist/Marxist/ feminist/environmentalist mind, etc., which have their own distinct set of mental disorders.

This doesn't even touch on what the Bible has to say about homosexuality.

I need to ask a question. But before I do, let me say that I'm a straight, young, conservative... (not that any of that should matter but I am sure it will come up)

After reading some posts on this board it seems as though some of you are scared of gays. My opinion follows. Who cares if they marry? Who cares if they have sex? I've never befriended a gay person and I probably never will. I don't think it has anything to do with subconcious bigotry...I just don't have anything in common with them. How does it affect you if a gay person gets married?

After that, the first emergency appeal to the USSC for a state violating the full faith and credit clause of the Constitution by nonrecognition of a Massachusetts gay marriage won't take six weeks. Listen to Mr. Justice Kennedy, for the Court, and tell me how they will rule on that appeal:

"These references show an emerging awareness that liberty gives substantial protection to adult persons in deciding how to conduct their private lives in matters pertaining to sex"

marriage (in modern times) is an economic structure to protect and support children and one spouse in two parent families. Any other description while noble is meaningless. If there are gay marriages, there will be no procreation. There is no need for spousal support - argue why. Therefore marriage is not needed and spousal coverage for insurance, taxes, etc. would be stupid and wrong. This may mean having to jettison spousal coverage for marriages without children - but why not.
