Allowing homosexual civil unions is benign at worst.

It prevents abuses in expensive "domestic partner" laws buy giving governments another option to support extension of the legal and financial benefits associated with marriage to gays without having to extend them to roommates and sex buddies. It removes a huge excuse gays have in claiming victimhood (while paying above average tax rates due to their financial success). It might even encourage monogamy. But most importantly, it does nothing to in any conceivable way to cheapen my marriage.

I'm not impressed with any of the arguments against homosexual civil unions, seems like a good idea.

I had them in mind. You can also add demilitarization to the list of traits of loser nations. So loser nations such as Netherlands and Canada will legalize marijuana and hard drugs, legalize gay marriage and decimate their militaries.

Nothing wrong at all except it is pagan. Pagan tribes have gay marriages. So did the Romans on their way out. Gay marriage denies 2000 years of Christianity and 5000+ years of Judaism. Even the Islamics get this one right.
