THIS JUST IN...
As sometimes happens with Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.), he let his mouth race ahead of his brain Wednesday night at a gathering of Young Democrats at the Washington nightspot Acropolis. After presidential candidate Howard Dean spoke, Kennedy delivered an impassioned peroration against President Bush's tax cut. We hear that Kennedy told the crowd: "I don't need Bush's tax cut. I have never worked a [bleeping] day in my life." With that he got the audience's attention -- the dropping-jaws kind.

Same story I heard. She slept around and Joe didn't like it.

Kucinich is vulnerable, as well.
I don't see anybody doing any work over here.
Papers were calling him to shut the hell up and quit back in February.
Everyone is disgusted by him, and he hasn't shown up in the state since December. He's doomed.

Vote Democrat. It beats working. I want a bumper sticker!
So Patches, when we all quit working and put our hands out for "our fair share"...whatcha gonna do? Give us some of your hardly-earned money?

I didn't realize he got to take the bar alone. Lots of drinkin' bars and private bar exams for the Kennedys, but never jail cell bars as most of 'em deserve.

Re: Rosemary
What ever happened to the story that came out after Rose's death, that Rosemary was in fact very normal? Was that bogus? Hard to tell with the Kennedys.
Anyway, Rose's secretary supposedly came across a journal written by Rosemary. The journal detailed a trip to Europe Rosemary went on as a teenager. The secretary claimed that the girl couldn't have been retarded, because of the writing in the journal, and that Rosemary had gone on this trip with another friend or relative, IOW independently.
She claimed that Rosemary was likely lobotomized because she was a wild child, and Joe couldn't have that. He wanted to mellow her out but it got botched. Maybe that explains the pregnancy concerns, or that Joe simply didn't want to deal with a daughter who acted like him or the boys.

LOL. So, what do you really think?

The ramifications are chilling and horrible. Imagine that we had a President who was raised by this type of man.
Joe brought his movie starlet liason to the family table right in front of the kids even though his wife knew about the affair. Now there's a real man for ya.

Congressman Patrick Kennedy has problems. This is not his first trip to the stupid show. He was really worried last election because of his well known antics with a leased sailboat returend looking like a pig sty. The female sailing with him called in an SOS for the Coast Guard after their was an incident on his boat off the coast. She refused to speak about it. Patrick has a wicked temper and has told others he takes or did take antidepressants. He helps craft the laws of the land. God help us. Thank you Rhode Island.

I have read a few stories about Rosemary, but I haven't heard the one that says she is normal
IMO, I do think she was born retarded .. but not severely. Retarded children are not much different then normal kids. They grew up, get taller and have hormones just like the rest of us. The problem is, their brains don't grew like the rest of us and they still have the mentality of a child and don't know how to handle it.
So, I am sure that Rosemary did get a bit wild, but Joe couldn't control her and decided to have the surgery, a surgery that was still new to medicine.
IMO Joe was a control freak and didn't take into consideration of other peoples options or feelings. He, IMO is responsible to what happen to Rosemary

And not a one of them has done a lick any real work since old Joe Kennedy lined his pockets with cash from illegal sales of alcohol during Prohibition. Then he extended his winnings through questionable real estate deals in Chicago. The Kennedys, one and all, are immoral scabs on the body politic.
To: oldironsides
The female sailing with him...He might have roughed her up and scared her, but at least with Patches she knew her virtue would remain intact, if you know what I mean.

I've never heard of this story about the secretary's speculations, the journal etc. Fascinating.
Papa Kennedy was a real piece of work. Wasn't it originally Rose that had the money in the family? Her family was wealthy I believe, and probably largely why Joe married her.

It would probably be a rino but it's possible. If Maryland is any example the Kennedys are not so well loved anymore.
