My guess? She sobered right up when she hit the poor fellow, and all the rest was CYA. I'm not seeing any remorse here, just that self-pity we're noticing.

Mallard did say "Mr. Biggs" a few times. I don't recall the attorney calling him by name.

She actually said, "I hit Mr. Biggs." Then she launched into her self-pity mode, as accurately described already.

Does this sound to you like she's going for the "I didn't know what to do and the advice I got was bad" defense?

What facts were in dispute?
If the facts can be determined in two minutes, why take three months?

Wonder if Fox will continue to carry it past the hour? Court TV is about to go to the far more important (!) "Profiler" reruns.

sorry . . . how could I have made that mistake? LOL, you obviously lost your head for a moment. No, this is still a PC world, and it will not happen.

Thanks, but hard to fix dinner and keep an eye on the computer. Teevee works much better that way. ;)

Yes, it IS! Good deal--usually they go to the reruns, as just about everyone noticed during the Westerfield trial.

Oh, I get it now; she plead guilty to the tampering charge so the jury wouldn't get to hear all about how SHE participated in the REMOVAL and DISPOSAL of Mr. Biggs' body.

Someone on Court TV said the poor man was still alive when they threw a blanket over him and dumped him at the park--is there any verification for that? (Court TV doesn't always get it right.)

I believe she just blamed it all on the ecstasy, and said for the hundredth time, "I didn't know what to do".
To: Howlin
I am wondering whether the prosecuter didn't offer a deal. After all, it was a slam dunk case.
