Cook County voting for Homosexual Marriage
Cook County Commitioners | 062603 | chicagolady

Ok folks we do need your help! Cook County Human Relations Board needs to hear from you to say NO to making Homosexual Marriage Legal. I just had a thought. Lawyers are probably pushing FOR this so it is job security. More divorce through the court system, more jobs for lawyers. Anyway I am told the facts are that there are less than 2% Homosexuals as the population. Why should laws be changed for such a minority. Please HELP US OUT and call those who want to pass it and tell them NO! If they ask you where you are from tell them Chicago.

OH! By the way
THIS Might HELP!
URGENT

Cook County; One Step Closer to Homosexual Marriage
Members of the Cook County Board’s Human Relations Committee plan to vote in the near term on the creation of a homosexual domestic-partner registry for the county. If approved, same-sex couples would be able to obtain a certificate – similar to a marriage license – from the County Clerk. The next step is full blown marriage of same sex couples.

Please call Cook County Commissioners and urge them to vote NO against the registry. Note: Calls are tallied and will make a difference

Insane, isn't it? FReeping the idiot authorities of this Godforsaken county. Thanks for posting the addresses. Soon as I convince the wife to pack up and leave Illinois, we're gone. Illinois is the Kalifornia of the plains. Nutty gun control, corruption, rampant faggery. Completely ridiculous. Someone introduce the damn Federal Marriage Amendment already.

I once attended a gay "commitment" ceremony -- a formal church affair with reception following at a posh near north restaurant.

I did not, however, dance with the bride.

Isn't this the Cook County that has traditionally used those punch card ballots that are so suceptible to shenanigans? It doesn't matter what the voters say, if some party machine operative can stick a small metal rod through a hundred ballots at a time.

The ones that had a different vote on them will be voided for having two votes.

I wish someone would confirm whether this is what happened in Palm Beach in the 2000 election?

An interesting thought just occured.

It goes like this. Did anyone care whether 'the State' recognized a marriage, let's say... 1000 years ago? No one did because the State didn't get involved much into such aspects of peoples' lives. Marriage and family were matters of customs, religion/church and, to a limited degree, personal choice. The 'State' role teneded to be limited.

Not today's 'welfare' State. It is important to have your marriage 'recognized' today because today's families are objets and products of today's State's social engineering activities. Families tend to receive 'benefits' (subsidies) that non-families do not. Extending one member's health insurance to the rest of the family, for example. This explains why certain individuals are so eager to have their type of co-habitation recognized by the State as a 'family' and, to a degree, why 'legitimate families' would not want to see additional contenders attempting to take their slice of a limited 'benefits pie'.

Were not for the Welfare State would anyone care whether the State 'recognized' homosexuals living together as 'a family'? Or would anyone care?

People in IL are probably embarrassed that Ronald Reagan was born in their state, and to protest his IL background, they aim to make IL permanently Democrat. They are well on their way to accomplishing their goal.

Oh no, It's ppaul with those pics again! :-) Fortunately I'm heading out the door on vacation for over a week to help get those visual aides out of my mind!

I'll try to think of you guys while I'm having fun with this for the next week. Keep fighting the good fight... don't forget to ping me or the Homosexual Agenda Index in my absence.

I'll leave you with this: What did Goliath say as he saw David about to sling the rock.... "That never entered my mind." :-) C-ya in a week or so.

I just got off the phone with Comissioner Butler's office. I mentioned I was a constituent in the 'burbs and the woman at his office was surprising helpful and responcive, saying she believed the Comissioner agreed with me and would have a letter sent. I stressed my home address and phone number because I told her a lot of politicans never reply unless they are sure you're in the district. She said no problem, she believed me and would send something.

Quite surprsing for a Chicago 'RAT politican. When I call Congressman Rush's office, they just take down my comments quickly and claim he'll get back to me-- which he never does. >:-(
