FOLEY LAUNCHES WEBSITE URGING PUBLIC TO HELP STOP CHILD NUDIST “CAMP”

WASHINGTON – Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL), Co-Chairman of the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children’s Caucus, today launched a new website that allows the public to get involved in stopping a Florida child nudist “camp” from putting kids in harms way.

The new site -- www.votervoice.net/groups/foley -- allows the public to send e-mails to Governor Jeb Bush, Attorney General Charlie Crist and state legislative leaders encouraging them to take measures to shut down these “camps.”

“Getting the public involved is crucial to our efforts to protect children,” Foley said. “The more people who make their voices heard, the better chance we’ll have to ensure the health and safety of our children.

“While I feel adults have the right to attend these camps if they choose, children should never be left without their parents and potentially put in harms way. Camps that require children to be nude without the supervision of their parents risk harming them both mentally and physically.”

Camp organizers have admitted in numerous publications that strangers have made their way onto the camp to leer and take pictures of children, and even make physical contact with them. The next time, Foley says, these men may take the kids themselves, not just their pictures.

“These camps have admitted that people with ill intent have gained access to the children more than once,” Foley said. “We have a responsibility to do whatever we can to prevent children from becoming victims of sexual abuse or abduction.”

More and more government control... for the children.

Is it the case that homos are more often child molestors - or is that rumor only?

Foley is also a supporter of Roe v. Wade, the ultimate in child abuse!

When it comes to protecting kids, I say the more the better if the parents aren't doing it. It certainly doesn't "take a village," but if the parents aren't smart enough, someone has to step in.

What kind of a sick and twisted parent sends their kid to a nudist camp?

So two wrongs make a right? Can't you just support something good instead of dwell on negative?

Why is your default caretaker government?

Do you see that as the only alternative, or just the most convenient, or both?

I'm not sure that it does matter. Then again, homosexuals are always telling us that the arguments against the "lifestyle" are melodramatic and overblown, which is the argument the nudists are making now. It's kind of funny watching the gay guy go after the nudists.

From what I gather, nudists tend to be rather prudish and don't take kindly to perversion.

Who knows. Likely that not all are sick and twisted... dumb IMO.

No it's not a rumour, good point.

Gays make up a single digit (IMO less than 1%) of the of the population, but over 30% of the perps in child molestation.

Not my caretaker, kids' caretaker when no one else is taking care of them. You never ask yourself What Would Jesus Do?

The same logic could be applied to a religious camp.

Government, stay out. Same with moralists like Foley.

Many people in FL probably do not know that Foley is a supporter of Roe v. Wade. And the primary opponents may be gentlemanly to point this out.

Would Jesus want you to stand by less government involvement even if it meant allowing children to be hurt? There's a point where a basic philosophy of less government stops when kids are being exploited and no one else can help.

Your assertion is that less government means children being hurt? Wow.
