A Republican governor. Empty Democratic campaign treasuries. A diminished Democratic presidential field. Mr. Lockyer called the recall effort "a profound threat to democracy." That's hyperbole. But the recall could be a profound threat to Democrats. I love it!
Thank you John for posting this!

(Recall Gray Davis and then start on the other Democrats)
To: JohnHuang2
I think Davis will resign so that the Dems can maintain control.

Regardless of what happens, this story is going to be at least as much fun as the Texas Rat legislators who fled to the Holiday Inn in Ardmore.
The Rat party is really on the ropes in a lot of places, and it couldn't happen to a more deserving lot.

The solution to the California problem is Old Testament wrath and atonement.
Will the Terminator have the guts to bring on the fire and brimstone of spending cessation, of excruciating pain of jobless Rats who formerlly worked for the state, of mass roundups of Mexican sponges, of street sweeps of homless fund suckers.
The new governor muswt be yawaah like in his retribution and eradicator of the sin of over spending.
It will require the strongest politician who ever touched the reins of the government. The people will bow to strength but will kill for weakness.

"...a former Marine and Green Beret..."
How does that work?

It isn't only California Democrats who lose if there is a recall election. It would be the Political Event of the fall, sucking such oxygen from the Democratic presidential contenders as remains after Hillary's book tour. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
