Joe McCarthy Was Right

Coulter: Sen. Joe McCarthy Was Right In her best-selling book "Treason," author Ann Coulter rips the lid off of established liberal "history" while claiming that Sen. Joseph McCarthy has been vindicated.

Ann Coulter's new book won't hit bookstores 'til Tuesday and NewsMax has some of the first copies. Click here for our FREE offer for "Treason".

Coulter says that liberal ideologues disguised as historians have consistently covered up treason with their attacks on patriots like McCarthy. She writes that the Left had to "fight back like animals" to destroy McCarthy.

Much of Coulter's research is backed up by recently released Soviet papers and the five-volume release to the public, for the first time, of the closed-door hearings by the McCarthy Senate committee 50 years ago. They were made public last month after "Treason" had gone to the printer. Put the book and the hearings together, and you have the damning evidence.

"History," Coulter writes with sarcasm, "tells us that Sen. Joseph R. McCarthy [R-WI] did not discover a single Communist anywhere."

In fact, Coulter identifies Soviet operatives named by McCarthy. NewsMax.com has reviewed the 80-page McCarthy segment of Coulter's book and hundreds of pages of the newly disclosed hearings. The record backs up her charges in spades.

Ann Coulter's "Treason" and the newly released hearing transcripts dash to smithereens "history's" falsehood that McCarthy did not nail treason within the highest levels of the U.S. government.

Ann Coulter's "Treason" has already surpassed Hillary's "Living History" on the Amazon bestseller lists.

From when I was in Young Americans for Freedom:

(To the tune of "Yellow Rose of Texas")

Fighting Joe McCarthy, We're one and all for you. You got the dirty Commies And you'll get the pinkos too. Oh, Fightin' Joe McCarthy, We're one and all for you. Our land you'll save, Our flag you'll wave, The dear red, white, and blue.

Now Firghting Joe McCarthy Has gone to his reward And now he's up in Heaven Fighting Commies for the Lord. Oh, Fightin' Joe McCarthy, We're one and all for you. Our land you'll save, Our flag you'll wave, The dear red, white, and blue.

Joe McCarthy based his actions on what Roy Cohn fed him. Roy Cohn was being blackmailed by the Soviets due to his sexual preferences. None of the dangerous agents were ever revealed, just some flunky hollyweirdos with false dreams. Our State Dept. is still loaded with some very dangerous individuals.

When we were stationed overseas, the Army bands would play various state songs. The Texans would always stand, put their hands over their hearts and begin weeping when "Yellow Rose of Texas," was played.

At 4:20 ET, 1:20 PT at Amazon, Hillary's at #6, Ann's at #9.

No way is Hillary's book selling as well as claimed.

Ann's book will be #1 with a bullet after its release tomorrow.

Actually, some Hollyweird types got called before HUAC (which we ought to bring back.) However, you're right -- McCarthy didn't go after Hollywood, just the State Department. But don't confuse people with facts.

In non-fiction category, maybe. I don't think she'll be taking down Harry Potter though!

I like this little tidbit I found here the other day.

1950, February 9 - McCarthy made an electrifying speech at Wheeling, West VA, that he had a list of Communists in the State Department. By July he was a major political force. John F. Kennedy told Harvard students that "he knew Joe pretty well, and he may have something." In February 1952, John Kennedy called McCarthy a "great American patriot." In 1953 Bobby Kennedy joined McCarthy's staff and McCarthy was godfather to Bobby's first child. Bobby was always loyal to Joe.

"They" won't believe Ann, of course, but vindication for McCarthy is building, and sweet it is.

1951 The second wave of HUAC hearings begins with McCarthy leading the charge. Over the next three years McCarthy is a mainstay in the public eye, and he subpoenas some of the most prominent entertainers of the era (e.g. Orson Welles, Lucille Ball, Dashielle Hammett, and Lillian Hellman) before HUAC, demanding "the naming of names." It was the House Committee on Un-American Activities. The House, not the Senate. McCarthy was a senator.
Oh yeah, it's Earth.
