Gratified By Huge Response (Hillary Sez Devil's Been Following Her For Three Years)

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has signed her book, "Living History," for "probably 10,000 people by now," she said Thursday, calling the response "extraordinary." "Some have already read the book and loved it," she said by phone from Washington, "or they've related to parts of it, or they support me politically, or they think this is a way to meet me."

Friday night at 7, the former first lady appears at Huntington's Book Revue to sign books. "I try to at least look at people," she said. "I give people five or six or seven seconds to say something. Some are tongue-tied, some have a whole speech prepared, some give me letters."

She's surprised, she said, that "I have not had more" negative comments, though she always has a few protesters "who show up at everything I do. ... There's one man in a devil costume. He's been following me for three years. Maybe he'll show up in Huntington."

Perhaps if she alllowed the little people to speak to her heinous she WOULD hear those negative comments, but since she has carefully scripted her booksigning tour to avoid dealing with the riff-raff, it would seem that she will only hear praise, which is all she will tolerate anyway. Nice to know that she is aware of the FReepers at all the locations though. The fact that she mentions it at all would suggest that she is annoyed by it.
