I just checked Amazon.com to see how Ann Coulter's upcoming book is doing. You might remember that many FReepers have made an effort to pre-order Ann Coulter's Treason in order to knock Hillary off the charts. Earlier today a thread on FR noted that Ann's book had risen to #5 on Amazon.com and Hillary's had dropped to #4.
I am happy to report that according to Amazon.com at 3:20pm PST, 19 June Ann Coulter's Treason has overtaken Hillary Clinton's Lying History in Amazon Sales Rankings.
Let's go to the scoreboard:
Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism
by Ann Coulter
Living History
by Hillary Clinton (Author)

Newt's new book on Gettysburg looks really good, actually.
As a huge "Civil War Nutt"[tm] I'm thinking of giving it a read soon.

Here's my review of Hillary's book on Amazon:
"The $8,000,000 Lie" (rating: one star)
Most individuals purchasing "Living History" believe the text makes a great coffee-table book. They're buying the book to "support" Hillary's socialist thrust (I doubt many liberals have even read the book).
It's also been suspected that Hillary is demanding her staff purchase more copies of her book. Talk about sickness and desperation.
Hillary's approach to selling books appears to mirror that of a third grader selling Girl Scout cookies. "Buy more, buy more!!! C'mon, guys -- we're not trying hard enough! GO! GO! GO! FASTER!!!"
Fortunately, Ann Coulter need not resort to such impossibly distasteful tactics, in order to sell books. Coulter's book will be purchased based on merit, not hype.

Most of the people responding with a one star review are nothing more than freepers attacking something they have not readI don't understand. Please 'splain it to me.

I have a friend who works for Borders Books and she looked up the sales figures for Hillary's book for her store (this was last Sunday). They'd sold 60 copies at that time. She was at the register that day for two hours and sold only one copy. There are 10 Borders books in a 200 mile radius of me. If those figures for her store are average, then Borders Books, in Southern California (this doesn't include Los Angeles County), as of last Sunday, for one week of sales, sold about 600 copies.
I'm not too good with math, but this doesn't sound like a hot seller to me.

As a huge "Civil War Nutt"[tm] I'm thinking of giving it a read soon. There's worse things to be.
My dad is a civil war nut. His great grandfather (my great great grandfather) lived to be 99 and he told my dad about going to see Lincoln's funeral train come through Philadelphia. It weirds me out a little that my dad (who still golfs regularly at the age of 75) had conversations with an eyewitness to Lincoln, but there you go.

Hey, Seeking. Here is an interesting event that may or may not have some bearing on Hitlery's funny numbers. Borders called to tell me my Harry Potter would be available to pick up on Saturday and then said you ordered 2 right? Nope, just one. A short time later the same lady called about my Harry Potter being available on Saturday. I said I just talked to you, Annie. Oh, says she, you're down here 3 times. Just wondering. Off topic, what a great time the cruise was.

There's no way that b!tch's book is selling in any way, shape, or form like a "bestseller". No way.
Here's my theory:
- Publisher has to spend megadollars on top of the b!tch's advance, to promote it. What's that push them into the hole for?
- No one but the kool-aide drinkers in the public, would buy her book. That's about what, 20% total of the population, at best, as her potential market? Add in another 2% of the population to her potential audience as the curiosity seekers, the gullible, etc, and now we're at 22% of the population - at best - as her potential market.
- It's clear her publisher is lying about the print run, and about the sales. That level of desperation tells you they are worried - advance orders weren't good.
- The b!tch's faithful sycophants within her circle of hangers-on, camp followers, courtiers, and general bung-hole suckers quite obviously know that if the book tanks, and is perceived as a flop, their dark mistress is perceived as a flop, and it will hurt her political ambitions. Therefore the decree has obviously gone forth (so let it be written, so let it be done) that the book "will" be a bestseller, or heads will roll; thus a lot of these "sales" appear to be arranged "big buys" by groups, corporations, organizations, etc...lots of potential for investigation here.
Bottom line is, this book is almost as big a dog as Algore's, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the Barnes and Nobel discount clearance bin for $5.99 by the end of July.

Is that just the
hottest, g-d@mn cover EVER or isn't it?
I mean, I'm not even partial to blonds, really, but damn Ann looks good.
And the funniest part, to me, is that I am more turned on by her brain than her looks. As a guy, I'm genetically programmed to not think that way. Yet, I swear, Ann's brain is the sexiest part about her.
That easy on the eyes and one of the sexiest minds and personalities in existence. There's only one person who beats her out for looks and a sexy mind; my wife.
But I'll tell ya, Ann is gorgeous for a blond.

Well, I was being generous.
Okay, $.99 cents...at the "Dollar Store"...
You'll see people buying crates of them in bulk to use for firewood in remote areas...
