REDMOND, Wash. -- ATF agents stormed into an Eastside business early this morning -- and they were tight lipped about what they're hunting for.
They're still there tonight -- packing up many boxes of evidence.
ATF agents say this is just routine enforcement -- but it looks like much more.
It's all happening in Redmond, Redmond Police are on the scene helping with traffic and security.
Sources tell us that it's the makings of serious weapons that spurred this raid."
"Next thing I know there was ATF people all over the place," said eyewitness Gary Wilson.
Those agents zeroed in on this place -- in a Redmond industrial park.
We've learned it belongs to a business called P-W Arms Incorporated -- that deals in ammunition.
A man who doesn't want to be identified says he's seen piles of old ammo inside.
"Enough to fill a couple of 48 foot trailers -- maybe two or three," he said.
ATF agents, most of them undercover, came prepared for a big haul.
"There was probably a hundred of those officers here - and they swarmed in and evidently there was 6 of these trucks lined up in the street waiting," said John Bovee.
All day they've been hauling crates out of the business. Sources tell us what they found here is guns -- imported in separate pieces so they're legal -- but the parts can be put together to create illegal assault rifles.
Officially -- ATF won't say much at all.
"Only thing I can say right now is that we have an ongoing investigation," said Matt Horace, ATF agent.
The number of agents is large -- the stacks of evidence keep growing -- and the work doesn't seem to be slowing down. Still, ATF insists this is a routine enforcement action-- and people shouldn't worry.
"There's no imminent threat to public safety and we'll be here as long as it takes to conduct our investigation," Horace said.
So far agents have been on the scene about 8 hours. Again, ATF officials won't confirm what this is all about.
But a source tells us this raid is not in connection with a large crime ring or terrorism

"warning to all little kids and dogs in Redmond:
The ATF is in town. Go home and lock your doors.
Doors mean little to these members of the SS. They will charge into a home with little regard to the occupants, their posssessions, or their rights. This type of behavior plays well in the halls of Washington, D.C., where bureaucrats are working feverishly to identify new ways to usurp our rights.
All the while hordes of illegal aliens invade this country from across the Mexican border.

"Thirty years ago you'd expect that opinion to come from the fringes of left or right."Thirty years ago, you'd have been right. Back then cops were ALL ex-military and none were victims of the liberal infestation currently seen in the public school systems; along with their agenda of voluntary unilateral personal disarmament within US borders. I know several current ATF agents and they are almost bred for their anti-freedom views. I'm an expert on the public schools having been a teacher for the last fifteen years in perhaps one of the most liberal school districts in the nation.

Exactly what pistol can you get chambered for the 7.62X39 and 7.62 NATO rounds (besides the Thompson Contender)? You can also get a barrel in .30-06 for the Contender yet it is still legal.

P.S. the problem was accessability. No country in the world still manufactures AP for the .30-06 for military use, hence very little supply of AP.
However, MANY countries still buy and manufacture AP in both 7.62X39 and 7.62 NATO. The ammo would be plentiful and cheap. And nothing scares a politician more than thinking someone might be able to shoot them through their armored limousines and in their taxpayer funded helicopters.

Please explain how your survival is threatened. Or is this hyperbolic response also Pavlovian? You are seemingly obsessed with the notion of using a simple experiment concerning instinctive behavior of lower life forms to explain human reactions. That, to me, is a hyperbole of your creation that needs to be explained.

You are really an amazing fountain of fascinating, obscure and hard to find information.
When I am finished with my novel, I would really like you to walk over to your bookshelf and compile a list of ten or so "must-reads" for my continuing education.

I get into the entire ATF-BATF-BATFE thing in great detail in my novel. The BATFag characters of course always call themselves ATF. Pro-gun characters call them the BATF or F-Troop, jack-booted thugs etc.

After Waco I have thought the agency should be disbanded. Since that time I've become even more convinced.
Naw, the OKC bombing and Klintoon put them back in business.

"Someone once suggested that the ATF be dissolved and the agents moved into the FBI. The FBI stood up and said that they did not want the ATF agents because when you mix polluted water with good water, you get polluted water."
Correction: When you mix polluted water with polluted water...

Prior to the 96 election the BATF raided a dealer in Oakland Ca and hauled off several trailer loads of Chinese 5.56 ammo and a few guns. They made a big deal of it to the press and tarred and feathered the dealer because it was all "illegal". A few days later they returned most of the items and left town. I always suspected that Clinton ordered it returned because of some deal with China.
I called the Mary Mattlin show at that time but they weren't interested.
