Yeah, I remember Dr. Melfi almost tells him, but she doesn't.

I heard that if you're not "connected", never ask for the mob to do you any favors. They might do you a favor if they want, like in return for you doing them a good turn, like saving one of their kids' lives or something, but if they do, don't say anything about it.

For instance, Tony might find out on his own about the rapist, and "take care" of him, but if he does, Dr. Melfi might wonder if he did it, but he won't tell her, and she won't ask.

But what made you think that?

Something about the conversations we had, and especially the poetry and other stuff on your profile page. You seem to have a great creative side to you.

Nothing wrong with Ford fleet sales, though. I wouldn't own any other brand of truck or SUV (well, I cheat by driving a Mazda that was built by Ford!). How's business been over the last few months?

Very, very well! I just took delivery on an '03 F-150 5.4L FX4 SuperCrew Lariat (yes, you can get this confirguration, but you have to ask because the normal specs include a 4.6L, not the 5.4L, in the Lariat). This is my very first non-SUV and non-Cadillac vehicle that I've ever owned. With its leather, sunroof, 22" chrome wheels, in-dash 6 CD changer, and overall comfort, I doubt I'll have anything else than one of these for quite some time.

Our daughters have never seen the Sopranos but they use a phrase that I related to them, cleaned up of course, on occasion. Say we are invited to a party and there is food all over the place, one of my daughters said, "there is enough food here to clog a wood-chipper". The scene in Amalfi (I think this is the location) where Tony is asked to eat another meal is one of the funniest scenes of the series and in the same episode Pauli askes for some real Italian food, noodles and gravy, not the fish they were serving. This is where the Italians started to curse him, I think. I look for the humor in the scenes and if one looks closely one can find it nearly everywhere.

I've got my eye on a dark green F-250 SD Lariat for myself. My only "problem" is that my 1994 SUV is still going strong at 205,000 miles. No trade-in value, but still runs very well.

Ali G on the Beeb: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/598586.stm

Cult comic character Ali G has been accused of racism by some of Britain's leading black comedians.

They claim that Sacha Baron Cohen, who shot to fame as the spoof "yoof" TV interviewer on Channel 4's The 11 O'clock Show, is guilty of ridiculing black street culture.

"I find both him and his material quite offensive," said Curtis Walker, who fronted the recent BBC Two show Urban Heat.

"I don't like the idea of a white guy playing a black guy anyway and when he is playing to a stupid stereotype it is even worse," he added.

In his Ali G role, Cambridge graduate Baron Cohen, who is Jewish, impersonates a white youth affecting the street slang of a black gangsta rapper.

His speciality is embarrassing public figures by interviewing them in character and asking excruciatingly ignorant questions which they fail to understand.

But his critics, who were interviewed by the New Nation newspaper, claim he has only been successful because he is white.

Felix Dexter, who starred in the series The Real McCoy, said: "I can appreciate the humour of an innocent confronting an expert and neither understanding what the other is on about.

"But a lot of the humour is laughing at black street culture and it is being celebrated because it allows the liberal middle classes to laugh at that culture in a context where they can retain their sense of political correctness."

Channel 4 defended Ali G, who is due to start his own show on the channel in March, by saying that the critics were missing the joke.

"He is satirising the way white kids try to copy the black street culture and look ridiculous. If it's offensive to anyone, it's offensive to white people," said a spokesman.

Divided opinion

But according to the New Nation, only one out of seven black comedians interviewed by the New Nation did not find Ali G offensive.

However, a straw poll by the newspaper of its readers found that more than 80% were fans of the cult character, who won an award for best newcomer in last month's British Comedy Awards.

Michael Eboda, the paper's editor, accused Ali G's critics of "taking themselves too seriously".

The newspaper itself claims the character is rooted in a contemporary cultural phenomenon, "namely that many white and Asian youngsters adopt black personas and appear ridiculous".

His interview with Ralph Nader was brilliant, too....

http://www Now that the truth is out, some of the subjects are furious about being taken for a ride. A spokesman for Ralph Nader said: "Ralph did not know what to make of the guy. Apparently he is not a rapper. He is some sort of comedian. We were not aware of that when the interview was granted.

"They said they were doing an educational special and going to gear it towards children and introduce them to civic figures. There was no indication it would be a comedy act."

A spokesman for arch conservative Gingrich said testily: "They got us, ha, ha, we're amused. So what?"

LOL! Its a great show. The first three seasons on DVD are must see. The entire ensemble cast is supelative and you just can't tear yourself away from THIS family for an entire hour!

I've just started watching it and I'm hooked. I'm trying to get caught up by watching on Sunday night where they play two old episodes back to back. I don't know what season I'm watching but I know it must be somewhat old as Pussy is still alive and Joe Pantoliano hasn't entered.

I am kicking myself for ignoring this show. I've had HBO for years and just never got around to watching it.

After Band of Brothers I thought to myself that HBO has some pretty good original programming. However, I can't get into Six Feet Under. I'm giving The Wire a chance but it pales compared to The Sopranos. Hopefully it picks up steam. It has serious potential.

Six Feet Under is fantastic. The last show left us in limbo, as it should have. BTW, the character Kathy Bates played was a gem..but then, she is the show's director :~)

Sopranos better improve next season...or bada bing!

I don't think there's going to be as lucrative a syndication deal as HBO is thinking. Too much of the show can't be shown outside premium channels, most episodes are longer than the 48 minutes you get for a commmercial laden hour, and with it out on DVD there's not much reason to watch horribly edited versions in rerun.

The entire ensemble cast is superlative..

Yeah, but from the first three DVDs it seems they're killing them off at a pretty good clip!

You need to check out "6 Feet Under." Wow, that's one heck of an HBO series!

I agree completly. You and I have the same viewing habits it seems ...LOL!

Also you are correct about the Soprano's DVD set. I rented seasons 1,2,3, It took me almost 3 weeks, EVERYDAY! My wife thought I was NUTS!
