On Dennis Prager a seminar caller to guest host David Horowitz revealed a new Democrat propaganda talking point.
He called in to disagree with Horowitz on the recall -- despite Horowitz not saying he was against it.
The talking point he spewed was about the budget deficit. Here was the crux of it:
It was all a conspiracy between Ken Lay and his good friend George Bush. CA had a good economy when Davis took over and Bush and Lay purposely destroyed it via energy scams
OK, ludicrous. But, this will be spewed by the left and the like as part of Davis' defense and general smear of Republicans. This will be one theme along with Issa being a master criminal.
Earlier thread about Dem strategy is here, Davis supporters don't discuss him which outlines the smear Issa strategy.
Infprmation on Clinton and Ken Lay and their very close relationship is here, Clinton Enron Nexus Clinton Administration Procured Credit for Enron, Used CIA as Resource for Enron
Check out his background in the bio section. He makes real contributions to society and not just on the silver screen.
and No, I'm Not voting for Camejo either!! ;-)
I won't put anything past the Rats in this State. I doubt that a second recall would be successful at the polls, but don't be surprised if we see this visited upon us.
Costa's group goes through the petitions to weed out obviously invalid signatures. Because there are some paid signature-gatherers who are paid only for valid signatures, those signatures are compared to county voter registration records. That takes some time, too, but the signatures submitted to the counties are then much more likely to be valid.
When the report from Secretary of State Shelley came out last month and showed fewer than 100,000 were turned into the counties, even though the dumpdavis.net count was much higher, we were all upset that Costa was slowing down the process. He has since improved, but there is definitely a backlog. The next report comes out on Monday, June 23, for the period ending either yesterday or last Friday (5 business days before the report).
My opinion: Next month he ought to give up on verifying the signatures and just send everything to the counties immediately. I'm not sure when the cutoff date is for the July report, but it's best to ensure the maximum possible number for that report and to force the counties to begin to verify the signatures. Otherwise, Shelley may have more delay tactics available.

U.S. Senate History
The United States Senate is often described as the world's greatest deliberative body. Many of the most influential political leaders in U.S. history have served there. A total of fifteen senators later became President. Forteen incumbent senators were nominated for President. Twenty-two senators later served as Vice President. Twenty-seven incumbent senators were nominated for Vice President. Nearly one hundred senators later governed their respective states.
Nine governors even resigned in order to serve in the Senate. So did Vice President John C. Calhoun. The ranks of the Senate are frequently sought out to fill cabinet posts, ambassadorial appointments and even the Supreme Court.
Senators Who Became President To date, fifteen senators have gone onto serve in the nation's highest elected office, the presidency. Two senators, Warren G. Harding and John F. Kennedy, moved directly from the U.S. Senate to the White House. (Photo: Warren G. Harding. Verifying signatures is a slow but important step, but I think he should relax his standards and simply deluge the counties before this reporting period ends in mid-July. Because of the many ways Shelley could delay the process, it's important that we get enough signatures sent to the counties before the reporting period ends. That way, the official July report will show sufficient unverified signatures, and the counties must verify them within 30 days for the August report. Shelley then has 10 days to certify the results, and then Bustamante will call an election 60-80 days from certification.
Any delays will push the election to March, which decreases the chances of success; If Davis wins, we not only demoralize California while boosting the tax-and-spend liberals, we taxpayers also have to refund Davis' campaign money.
So that's Prager, Elder and Hannity. Probably more.
