Demos and clashes are rocking the south, north, east, west and especially the center of the Capital. From Nazi Abad and Majidie to Shahrak Gharb and Guisha and from Dolat and Shariati to Rey, hundreds of gatherings and thousands and thousands of protesters are showing their rejection of the regime.

At several occasion, brutal plainclothes men were captured by the demonstrators and were attached to trees.

Several patrols and plainclothes men's bikes have been destroyed as were caught filming the demonstrators. the regime's agents were saved from lynchage with the intervention of some of the protesters.

Tear Gas is used in different areas and chase and run is taking place.

The regime has placed its vital buildings, such as Governments and radio and TV under huge surveillance to avoid a popular take over.

The night will be very long.

Thanks for your suggestion to write the media. I just did. May God protect the innocent and confuse the evil ones so that they fall on their own swords!

Wow! This is most alarming! I wonder what the talking heads will talk about tomorrow? LOL Actually, I'll be busy watching the US Open and Nascar race, working this here keyboard and support my local brewery, not necessarily in that order.. :-)

While half a world away a nation with a long history of greatness and failures is being reborn. We are with them in the spirit of man's desire to be FRee of oppression and fanatical religious rulers and leaders.

Thanks for all your pings. This is good stuff! ;-)

Happy Father's Day to you and hug the mrs. for us.

This just in...

We are hearing of a MASSIVE protest against the Iranian regime is being organized for Sunday evening in Iran. This is only 10 hours away (Iran is approx 12 hours a head of us in the PST Zone).

We are hearing of entire families, neighborhoods planning on attending. Even those frightened by the regime in the past as planning to join the protest tonight.

It is expected to be HUGE!

I'm sure it's a translation glitch, but I just love that "were attached to trees" part.

That sounds like quite the idea. I would suppose it should take place in Washington D.C. to gain the maximum exposure. Although individual demonstrations in different cities would be okay as well for those who couldn't make a D.C. Freep.

I just heard rom Tehran, that number is false, there were only 3000 or so, not 100,000

I don't know the numbers myself. But I understand there is not a single demonstration to make a count of. Apparently the protests are smaller in size but quite extensive, to avoid the more radical elements of the regime.

But I am being told that a major demonstration is planned Sunday evening.

Here the thread for this:
