Hamas 'to now target women and children'
Fox News | 6/13/03

Posted on 06/13/2003 8:39:23 AM PDT by pabianice

I watched with interest as a Hamas spokesman said last night that, because of Israel's repeated insistence upon defending itself, 'Hamas would now start targeting Jewish women and children.'

Is this guy on drugs, or what? Since when has Hamas NOT targeted Jewish women and children?

I agree completely. Hamas = Al Qaeda = Islamic Jihad: All are terrorists who must be destroyed. I'm sick and tired of this double standard that Bush Admin. assigns to Israel as compared to the U.S. reaction to attacks on its citizens. When America attacked Afghanistan, was that part of a "cycle of violence?" I don't think so.

I think the guy's statement is great. Here we have a leader of Hamas declaring to the whole world, on tape, that they intend to do the very things the whole world condsiders to be war crimes. They're starting to stew in their own juice and don't even realize it. Yes, there's no change in their policy but they have never made such an open declaration of it.

It is the weird mindset. To see nothing wrong with having young men and women destroy themselves and others as suicide bombers. To see nothing wrong in admitting the truth, they target woman and children for murder.
We are looking at Hamas from a Judaic-Christian perspective. But they are not like us. The slaughter of the innocent is what gives this perverse movement meaning.

The only puzzle is why W keeps insisting that Israel refrain from hunting down and killing these animals.

Somehow the people at A.N.S.W.E.R. are going to defend this.

I think the "roadmap" is just cover for giving the Israelis the green light to go ahead and wipe out these groups. Bush has first engineered the replacement of Arafat as figurehead leader of the PA, and got him to issue the unqualified condemnation of terrorism, in Arabic. Now Bush can support the elimination of terrorists as being opposed to the "true" Palestinian leadership - never mind that many Palestinians support Hamas. We will know Bush is serious when we see the top guys start to be taken out: the so-called "spiritual" leader of Hamas, and eventually, Arafat himself. For this is not just about Israel. The future safety of the United States itself depends on the crushing of fanatical Islamicism.

The only thing that these terrorist understand is unmitigated violence, take known terrorist and eviscerate them publivly while they are still alive, and then take their families and do the same thing and make them watch each other as it happens, publisize it on television, and say from now on this is the fate of every terrorist and their families. only by cutting off the capacity of their families to produce more terrorist will send a horrifying message to every lunatic of a terrorist out there

Exactly. Hamas are Palestians

And the SS Death Squads were Germans -- so clearly no German can be trusted, right?

By labeling all Palestinians as terrorists and targets, you're doing nothing more than guaranteeing that no peace can ever be achieved.

Now, it may well be that Palestinians in general do not want peace. I do not believe that, however. What I do believe is that groups like Hamas have done a good job of making ordinary Palestinians think they don't want peace.

The Israelis haven't done much to convince them otherwise -- though of course the need to respond to Hamas, et al, makes that understandable. Hamas knows this, of course, which is why they blow somebody when it's convenient.

I think that once Hamas is taken out -- and it will be -- then the ordinary Palestinians will have the breathing space necessary to make rational decisions.

As an American, I wouldn't allow any group to terrorize my nation like Hamas does to the Israelis. I would exterminate the evil bastards.

**tkathy: They are so lost in their lies, denial and murderous ways, that they have no moral compass or ability to discern truth.

**SunStar: This further proves that Hamas is a terrorist organization, and must be completely and utterly destroyed. War on Terror? Hell yes.

truth bump to both your posts.

The Saudi spokesman was being interviewed on FOX yesterday..he said muslims are against killing innocent people. Well...muslims consider Jews and Christians to be infidels, not innocent.

Good points, r. I should have stated in my other post to not lump *all* muslims/palestinians in the same group.

Hamas views ALL Israelis as soldiers. If they have been born, they are soldiers. I wonder if Hamas views fetus' as Soldiers in Basic Training? If so look out for the pregnant women also. As absurd as what I just said might sound, Hamas is an evil group of people who come up with new absurdities everyday.

What I do believe is that groups like Hamas have done a good job of making ordinary Palestinians think they don't want peace.

It's a fact that Palestinians inculcate their children with a visceral hatred of jews (just like the Nazis did). How many times do you have to see a mother celebrate and exalt her dead homicide-bomber child as a hero before you realize that the Palesitinians have created a culture of death wherein hatred is a virtue and suicide is a noble act? You need to do your homework friend.

Now, it may well be that Palestinians in general do not want peace. I do not believe that, however. What I do believe is that groups like Hamas have done a good job of making ordinary Palestinians think they don't want peace.

"May well be?" No doubt about it! These people danced in the streets when 911 happened and they demonstrated in support of Saddam in 1991 and 2003 Iraq wars. They are a corrupt people. Period. The evidence is clear. Where do you think Hamas recruits from? Further, they persecute and kill anyone who doesn't sympathize with their hatred and islamic radicalism.

The Israelis haven't done much to convince them otherwise -- though of course the need to respond to Hamas, et al, makes that understandable. Hamas knows this, of course, which is why they blow somebody when it's convenient.

Easy for you to say...you have not had 100 million muslims trying to destroy you for 55 years, under constant terrorist attack for 10 years. How would you respond? Hold hands with the PLO and sing Kumbaya?

How naive...what about other homicidal groups: Islamic Jihad, Al-Aqsa Martyrs, Arafat's paramilitary? Take them out too? Normal Palestinians - no such animal exists that I know of.

I disagree. The concept of a "Palestinian people" is quite new. I believe it dates back only to the time of the 1967 War. Prior to that, there were Arabs who wanted to wage war, kill the Jews and take the land. After the war, a new strategy was adopted. Some of the Arabs who lived in Jordan decided to call themselves "Palestinians". Oh, they continued to wage war, and kill the jews, but they also tried to go a political route thru the UN in order to take the land.

IMO, people who call themselves "Palestinian" are not identifying themselves as a true ethnic group (no such thing) but are instead revealing their political ideology (and its a nasty one).

I just can't imagine Bush having this much subterfuge and cleverness - he's a straightforward guy. This Abbas is not better than Arafat - he denies the Holocaust and has a history himself. What makes people think that changing from one Israel-hater to another that they will accomplish anything?
