The Israeli army received order "to completely crush" Hamas in it combatant by "all the means", following an attack commits suicide Wednesday in a bus in Jerusalem, which made 16 died in addition to the kamikaze, indicated to Thursday the radio Israeli. This directive, data at the end of a meeting of the state major with the Minister for Defense Shaul Mofaz little after the attack, relates to not only the infrastructures of the principal movement Palestinian islamist, but also the political heads who do not lay out any more from now on of any "immunity", indicated the radio operator soldier.
The public radio for its part indicated that the order "to crush" Hamas completely could aim "the basic activist as well as the sheik Ahmed Yassine", founder and spiritual guide of the movement, which resides at Gaza.
Tuesday, the Israeli army had already started a climbing while trying in vain to liquidate Abdelaziz Al-Rantissi, one of the political leaders of Hamas, which has escaped little with a raid carried out by Israeli helicopters.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers which was envisaged before the attack asserted by the Brigades Ezzedine Al-Qassam, the branch armed with Hamas, was to be held Thursday morning in Jerusalem and to evoke possible military reprisals.
According to the radio operator soldier, ministers again will claim the expulsion of the president of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat during discussions, but the Prime Minister Ariel Sharon remains opposite with this measurement which he considers inappropriate "for the moment".
The Minister for Justice Yossef Lapid, of the centre party Shinouï, for its part estimated with the public radio that Israel "must retort after the terrible attack of Jerusalem, but we must avoid putting the Americans to us at back, we must react in an intelligent way".
Mr. Sharon affirmed Wednesday evening little after the attack, that Israel "will continue to fight without mercy against terrorism, against those which finance, finances and carries out attacks aiming of the Jews".
"We will make all the provisions necessary to ensure the safety of the citizens of Israel", declared Mr. Sharon.
The Prime Minister however made a point of stressing that it was favorable to the continuation of the negotiations with the Palestinian government directed by Mahmoud Abbas in order to try to apply the "passenger waybill", an international peace plan envisaging the creation of a Palestinian State from here 2005.
"We want to continue the political process to ensure peace and safety", ensured the Prime Minister.
Little after the attack commits suicide, the Israeli army launched two raids to Gaza which made 9 died, changing to 26 the number of dead Wednesday, one of the bloodiest days since the beginning of Intifada.
This blaze of violence intervenes one week after the top of Aqaba (Jordan) which had tried to start again the process of peace. Hamas had sworn to avenge its wounded leader. The kamikaze, disguised as an orthodoxe Jew, exploded the load that it carried on board a bus in the street Jaffa in the center of Jerusalem-west. Thursday morning, 28 wounded people were still hospitalized.
June 10: Israel fires missiles on car in Gaza City, targeting Hamas leader Abdel-Aziz al-Rantissi. Rantissi is only wounded, but 3 others were killed.
June 11: Homicide bomber dressed as Jewish man blows up bus in Jerusalem, killing at least 16 - Hamas' spiritual leader, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, claimed that the attack in Jerusalem was in revenge for the attempt to assassinate Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi and said the retaliation would continue.
June 11: Israel fires rockets on car in Gaza, killing two top Hamas militants, Tito Massoud and Suhil Abu Nahal, plus at least 8 others.
After the first two innings of this round, the Terrorists lead Israel by a "dead tally" of 20 to 16 (not including the homicide bomber).
The Terrorists are next at bat.
And NO, I'm not making fun of the killing! I am pointing out the FARCE that is Hamas saying their attacks are in "retaliation" for things that Israel does... when Hamas et. al. kill first. Hamas kills (usually innocent civilians), Israel retaliates against specific terrorist targets, then Hamas "retaliates" back... and it continues ad naseum.
I think we should air-drop a few million copies of the 1983 movie "War Games" (starring Matthew Broderick) for all the Palestinians and Israelis to watch. Don't they realize that NO ONE is going to win this game of Rock(et)-Suicides-Paper(bomb)?
