June 9, 2003 -- After being routed by the United States in recent geopolitical games, the French seemed to be seeking revenge on at least one American.

A boorish French crowd did its best to distract Serena Williams during her semifinal match at the French Open last week. She lost in three sets to Belgium's Justine Henin-Hardenne.

Seems like something Jesse Jackson could sink his teeth into. Send him to Paris to demand reparations, more minority owned businesses for his cronies, then deny him reentry into the US. He gets to shakedown France, and we don't have to deal with him anymore. Win, win!

These people were booing a girl who's father is in spirit every bit as "French" as Jaquitch Chiraq.

This is more of a case of Liberal yet again consuming their own.

To her continued credit, Williams didn't blame her loss on the crowd.

The French prove that hindsight is not 20/20. If they think that their display of sportsmanship will draw more Americans to France for a vacation or to buy French products they are wrong.

This display PROVES that for two or three more years they will lose hundreds of millions of DOLLARS because they are rude French people.

Actions speak louder than words. America takes action that is why their is no cold war or Saddam. The French talk and talk and talk. That is why they have 35 hour work weeks to help lower unemployment. Those that can DO those that can't are French.

Serena and her sister, as quintessential Americans, have more class in their headbands than any Frenchman or Frenchwoman has evolved in a thousand years.

That's if the French don't pull any dirty tricks to destroy his chances.
