President George W. Bush meets with U.S. troops who were deployed in the Operation Enduring Freedom during war on Iraq at the U.S. Army Central Command (USCENTCOM) headquarters in Doha, Qatar. The President arrived safely back in Washington D.C. this evening after a 7 day 6 nation trip. ENJOY YOUR DAILY DOSE

I slept on the couch so I could hear him. I always wake up as soon as I hear his voice, but the only problem with that is I always miss the first part of his speech.
He was wonderful. Didn't sound like he'd been on the road a week under such tremendous stress. It must absolutely amaze foreign countries when they see the way our troops respond to him. That can't be staged, those smiles are on every single face, the enthusiasm just lifts you up. FOX always carries the speech without interruption and usually catches a small part of the hand shaking but they break it off long before I could get tired of watching.
The speech was strong, and they went wild every time he told them what a wonderful job they did, and how proud he and all Americans are of them, and what a fine thing they did for the Iraqi people.
I'll bet there was no way that would ever be carried on Al Jeezera because the Arab world would figure out just how important it is to our military that they freed the Iraqi people.

It is amazing to see. A great leader like George W. Bush inspires our troops to do their best and represent our country with honor, just like their Commander-in-Chief does.
The day President Bush landed on the Lincoln, Fox News had a Top Gun Pilot said:(paraphrasing)"I would be honored to be George W. Bush's wing man a follow him into hell, because I know he would bring me back home" That's respect and our President has earned it... YOU SEE ! ...

look at the top pic in #3. look how he rushes to his men! look at how they love him! there's also a pic of a female soldier getting a kiss. i have a feeling, in terms of protocol, that she's not supposed to be doing that, but really, now, how can she help herself? : )
i'm so glad he's back in the us. god bless him.

I think your first thought about the pictures was right! Dubya was really getting into it, wasn't he? He looks so thrilled to see the troops.
Mike, THANK YOU.

The Jordanian Queen is receiving medical care for a .. um .. shall we say, personal problem, and won't grace us with her presence this evening.
Yes. The poor dear is usually shy and tries to avoid the attention that comes from tooting her own horn, but the acoustics conspired against her and she couldn't help but have her -- shall we say? -- voice be heard. (I swear that's what woke me up from my nap!)
Hi everyone! Thanks for the pics, Mike!

the thing is, when clinton was in, i was scolded anytime I told people what a creep he is (I have a special insight, my grandpa is friends with criminalton from his ark days), but now, when I am so proud of my CinC, I'm not allowed to say what an incredible president he is. It sucks.

Love the pixes of our inspired and inspiring president!!!
I recorded the speech this morning (it aired at 3:15 AM ET) -- AWESOME, absolutely AWESOME! [You can read the text at
http://www.whitehouse.gov ]! Bottomline: the troops love their Commander-in-Chief and he loves them -- he got so choked up when he talked about the brave soldiers who had lost their lives in Iraq that he could barely finish the sentence (I have never been more proud of or more inspired by a president in my life!).
FOX NEWS / OPINION DYNAMICS POLL
June 3-4, 2003 (Registered Voters)
President Bush
6/03-04/03 66% approve 26% disapprove (+40)
5/20-21/03 64% approve 26% disapprove
6/03-04/03 67% favorable 27% unfavorable (+40)
3/11-12/03 62% favorable 29% unfavorable
Hillary Clinton
44% favorable 47% unfavorable (-3)
ADDITIONAL FUN FACTS:
George W. Bush would handily defeat Bill Clinton if they were the major party candidates in 2004. In a hypothetical matchup between the current president and his predecessor, 53 percent say they would vote for Bush while less than a third (32 percent) say they would vote for Clinton, with six percent saying neither." Of course, these two candidates are only imaginary opponents as the U.S. Constitution restricts Clinton from running for a third term.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,88691,00.html Poor Hill and Bill -- in an effort to rehabilitate their tarnished images/political careers, they are doing everything possible to destroy the President and are LOSING 'BIG TIME'!!!!

Dinner here at Maigrey Manor was a homemade skillet casserole dish.
It has bratwurst, diced onions, chopped peppers, rice, and lots of cheese. There were plenty of leftovers, but they are now in the fridge.

Wonderful pics. My computer wallpaper is one of the many pictures of the President visiting the troops at one of the domestic bases after 9/11. He is wearing a leather bomber jacket with the presidential seal on it; and he is surrounded by young soldiers, male and female, who have such happy countenances. It makes me smile every time I boot up.
I have moved all the icons around so that they don't block any faces.

**I'd like to learn more about General Franks. I assume he's married and has children...**
Yes, he is married. Has one daughter and a beautiful granddaughter. I think she's only a year or two old.
