Medical Journal Article Denounces Bias Against Abortion-Breast Cancer Link

Chicago, IL -- The president of the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer, Karen Malec, announced the publication of her article discussing the abortion-breast cancer (ABC) link in the summer issue of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, a publication of the Tucson based Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS). The article is entitled, "The Abortion-Breast Cancer Link: How Politics Trumped Science and Informed Consent," is published on the AAPS Web site at http://www.jpands.org/jpands0802.htm.

The article discusses the epidemiologic evidence of an ABC link; the silence and denial of the National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, the American Medical Association and women's groups; media bias; the bitter opposition of pro-abortion politicians; the implications for patient care; and medical malpractice issues.

The AAPS home page says it is "dedicated to the highest ethical standards of the Oath of Hippocrates and to preserving the sanctity of the patient-physician relationship and the practice of private medicine." The group's motto, "omnia pro aegroto" means "all for the patient."

Malec commented, "The AAPS advocates for patients' rights. It was founded sixty years ago to defend private medicine, which demands that physicians be responsible primarily to their patients. Therefore, our opponents can't dismiss the AAPS and their efforts to protect the health of women as pro-life scare tactics. The article demonstrates that the ABC link is not a dead issue in the medical community, despite the false-hearted efforts of the National Cancer Institute's leaders to put it to rest.'"

Five medical groups recognize the evidence: the Catholic Medical Association, the National Physicians Center for Family Resources, the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Polycarp Research Institute, and the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute.

Stop the presses! Alert the media! ... I happen to agree with you, RJ. The connection has not been made convincingly ... but one thing is sure, abortion is the leading cause of cancelled descendents because the procedure kills an individual human ORGANISM who may well have live to become the parent to an entire further human family of individuals; my grandfather on my Mother's side had eight children, 19 grandchildren, and I have lost count of the number of great granchildren ... all of whom would not be had my grandfather's mother chosen to kill him during his 'formative years'.

BTW, as a sales rep for a company selling contraceptives, way back in the 1970's, it was considered a 'no-no' to even forward a question from a physician regarding possible cancer connection to Enovid, or Ovulen, or Demulen ... and to even understand a question regarding the possible link between IUD's and women's endangerment from spontaneous bloody miscarriage if a pregnancy occurred with an IUD in situ was a chastized offense. Even in the 70's it was rumored that pregnancies that occurred and went for a few months only to be terminated artifically were possible carcinogenic factors on a woman's physiology. When I see clear evidence that breats cancer and abortion are linked, even at a small increased rate, I'll be sure to ping you buddy.

Suppose breast cancer runs in your family (God forbid!). If one of the women in your family was contemplating an abortion, don't you think she'd want to know about the studies that say there is a link? Not only would the life of the child be saved but the life of the mother, too. Win, win.

There is something creepy about people rooting for cancer. Right this evening, the House of Representatives is debating a ban on partial birth infanticide. There's something really creepy about people defending such a heinous killing technique used to terminate alive, healthy babies being life supported by laive, healthy women. Is is just gross to listen to elected representatives dissemble and deceive in order to protect such a heinous slaughter.

institution, studies found no link.  You want one.  You
are using your antiabortion feelings to root for cancer.
