I'm glad to hear that he appears to be the real deal. I still don't care for his style, but different strokes and all that. If he is saying what he is saying because he truly believes it then more power to him.

Savage said it was over contractual differences in SF actually. In my area he was on ESPN at 4 pm. They suddenly made some announcement that he would no longer be there either, and I forget the exact wording of why, but it was strange. Although they did say he would now be on at 10. The odd thing was they didn't just say it was a time change.

KGO has its moments. Tune in on Saturday nights when Bill Wattenburg is on.

Call in and ask a question about the Sierra Club. It always sets him off. ;-)

KSFO's reception is generally poor in the San Jose area,
especially early in the morning. They do something to
boost the signal weekdays around 7:15 a.m.

Looking at KSFO's technical parameters - they show to be
licensed for the same power level day and night BUT the
difference lies in the antenna pattern allowed during the
day versus their nightime broadcast hours.

This is often done to protect a "co-channel" station
(another station somewhere on the same frequency in a
different area) from interference at night, most likely
a station that 'was there first' and they get 'dibs' on
the frequency at night first.

Savage was also dropped a while back by KMJ 580 talk radio in Fresno. I think it's all about men's egos!! They can't stand it that Michael Savage is a huge success. It drives them nuts. The liberals are no threat; it's the REPUBLICANS. Eating their own again. Sheeeeeeesh.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. What would calling him have accomplished? It was just his stupid opinion. You can't really change somebody's opinion when it's a warped one. He probably said it more for the shock value than anything. But, as I said, I have listened to Michael Savage ever since he first came on, 9 years ago. I think I endured him long enough. Even when I agree with him, he STILL has a sour personality. I just got tired of him. I was tired of him before his silly comment, but that was the last straw. So, really, it was no effort at all to stop listening to him.
