Look I do whatever it takes to get mental lillputians like themselves who can't admit they are wrong off my back. You desperate cries for research are tedious. And so are you.

Spelling errors when belittling another poster's mental prowess are an indication of something else. I'll leave it unsaid, for fear of upsetting the moderator.

I'm strictly not a golfer, but I do want to know this one thing. If Annika played in a few PGA events and her game settled down, where would you place her in the next Colonial?

I ask you because you seem to be a successful golf prognosticator!

More entertainment from the article above:

The gallery seemed to appreciate her gutsy play and unwillingness to give up. Her 268-yard driving average ranked her 100th in the 113-person field

some of presidio9's greatest quotes:

"Her weakest asset yesterday was the fact that she was hitting it 250yds with her driver."

"For PGA tournament golf purposes, she's still a 250 yeard hitter. No getting around it."

"I don't know where to find the overall stats, but I randomly picked Rocco Mediate, because I am a fan. He normally hits the ball 277yds, 147th on the Tour. He is hitting 274 this, which is good for 69th or about halfway down the field. And it is very likely that he did not use his driver on all four holes, because most men don't on this course. Annika is averaging 248, down from the ridiculous 275. Trust me, I go to a lot of men's and women's Tournaments. She averages 250-260."

"Her driving distance average was 248. And, yes, she did hit driver on the driving distance holes. So much for the silly idea that she averages 275."

"All I know is she came into the Tournament averaging 275 off the tee. Yesterday, she averaged 248."

and last but not least:" I have a soft spot for people who argue for the sake of arguing without the benefit of facts"

ROFLMAO

He really needs to take this act on the road. Seinfeld was just saying there aren't many good standup people on the circuit currently, the field is wide open for a take over.

From another thread:

In a related story, Barry Sanders will retire from football.

The analogy is faulty. Barry Sanders was an excellent football player.

Remeber people, this is presidio9 talking to HIMSELF!

Considering you are arguing with yourself in that thread, can we safely assume you are a "mental lillputian"?

You desperate cries for research are tedious.

You(r) desperate posting of anything you can invent without reference is pathetic. Although almost as funny as you posting to yourself.

And so are you.

This, coming from "multiple personality man"!

I actually made no predictions on whether Sorenstam would make the cut or not, contrary to the claims of some discredited individuals who shall remain nameless (but their initials are presidio9) ;-)

If she could get her putting average down to around 29 (from 32) with the help of a Dave Pelz type, she'd pick up 2-3 strokes per round. It would still be a tough run for the cut for her.

Her short game looked like mine, but her fairways & GIRs were pretty respectable. She was awesome for F & G the first day, especially under that kind of pressure.

Wow! The Annika saga continues.

Hey presidio9 what gives? You've run out of rope so now you're digging a hole. Give it up before people start thinking you don't know what you're talking about:-)

Sorry, I don't know the lingo. F and G's and GIRs?

Also, if she makes the cut, is there any real money in it? How well do the guys do that are above the cut?

F and G's = fairways and greens, the mantra of the good golfer.

GIR = greens in regulation.

http://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/r021/results.html The bottom half of the field usually doesn't make out that well. The share for the upper half of the field has increased dramatically over the last decade. Ten years ago, the winner of a tournament like this might have made $200K. Now it's $900K. I think when we were doing our seasonal tour thing, a big purse was the winner's share from the Player's Championship at Sawgrass - around $540K. Now the winner gets over a million.

Annika helped sweeten the pot for the Colonial, no doubt about that.

Look, it is obvious that presidio9 is getting quite annoyed with us. And, given his inability to make a point if his life depended on it, we can now expect him to invent another FReeper to come to his aid with posts like "Don't let those morons get you down presidio, your posts ROCK!".

The way I see it is that the only thing holding him back in this endeavor is a plausible new screenname, one that we would never suspect is him. Despite his immense talent in making things up, perhaps he can't come up with a new name. So let's give him some help. Please post your ideas for screennames for presidio9's new imaginary friend.

I say: presidio10

Okay, you've been really helpful, but each time I have a new question. Are you saying that with the additional interest in Annika, the pot went up?

If that's the case, those in that even that earned more money just because she was in, should be trying to find ways to keep her in their tourneys as a revenue generator, not keeping her out.

BTW, the updated ratings are out and the Thursay-Friday numbers were as high as the weekend numbers (from the Dallas Morning News):

Sorenstam missed the cut Friday, but Sunday’s overnight rating for the Colonial was 2.7. Kenny Perry won the tournament by six strokes and went into Sunday leading by eight.

Overall, the ratings were the highest for the tournament since a 4.1 in 1997, when Tiger Woods made his only appearance in the event. And the Thursday-Friday ratings on USA, featuring Sorenstam, were a record for the network’s PGA Tour coverage at an average of 2.1 for two days, and 2.9 on Friday.

On another thread, presidio said:

And, while ratings were up on Thursday and Friday, the numbers were still negligible.

Ooooops! Wrong again!
