Yes, I think it is especially telling that she died on or before Christ's birthday and was found/identified around his Death.

Put it this way, if YOU were the Scott Peterson and were innocent and looking at the mountain of evidence the police were compiling, wouldn't you consider going on the lam?

Hmm...good point I guess.

that a loving husband and father-to-be would have been teeing off at Torrey Pines while awaiting DNA results on the bodies that washed up on shore

I had a huge problem with that as well. Who wouldn't have been there on the beach, fighting the police and crime tape to SEE THE BODIES and KNOW if it was his wife and baby? People who don't care and people who did it, are my guesses.

How would removing the heart and lungs aid in the desposal of the body, i would think it would make it more messy.

Remember, this ALL started being leaked when Geragos came onboard.

One of my biggest problems to date was finding out that the Peterson family had set up their OWN TIP LINE, and would then decide WHAT to route to the police, and what not to. No doubt the "satanic cult" with that stereotypical "666 tattoo" came from that tip line.

FWIW, I visited a couple of these forums to see what they thought of all this. They even had a "show your tattoo" thread. They aren't into the number thing, over there. They think it's laughable.

Yes they do leave out certain facts. Pretty common in most murder cases, especially when done by the police. It's how they differentiate the nut-jobs.

I would assume they are looking for other body parts - most especially her head, as it may contain the answer they don't have: CAUSE of death. Gunshot, blunt force trauma, suffocation... all of these causes can be disguised with the removal of the head.

the other parts (hands) had finger prints, organs would have enabled her to float. That's why they were removed.

I missed that interview. I heard that in either that one or another, he referred to Laci in the past tense not long after the whole case became so high-profile.

no.... it's what you do if you don't want the body to be identified.

Oh. I guess I skipped that chapter in "How to kill your wife and get away with it"

Supposedly his boat showed no sign of salt on it. Strange.
Even if it had been cleaned some residue should be there. Don't you think more was on his computer than looking for tides. Why would he lie about fishing for Sturgon? That boat is too small. Lots of lies. What is on those tapes made of his conversation to his girl friend.

Yeah but, I cannot get past the police having to obtain search warrants so scott would allow them in the house right after he reported Laci missing. And that was just the first unbelievable act on the part of scott.

If you were Scott and you were innocent and you reported your wife missing, would you bar the police from searching the house without first obtaining search warrants? Come on.

He removed all organs that would hold air and may force the body to the surface.

No, sounds to me like the fish and crabs have been feasting for a while.

no.... it's what you do if you don't want the body to be identified.

...only if you haven't been keeping up with things for the past twenty years...

DNA analysis has made the removal of fingerprints, teeth, and so on from a body totally useless as a way of preventing if from being identified.
