This long dogleg left requires a draw off tee and a long approach shot. The green can be tricky.

Did you notice in my post #170 that it says "Annika Sorenstram hit his Tee shot".

While Sorenstam is at a disadvantage because she is not as long as PGA players, if she can handle the pressure, she could make money on the PGA Tour.

It is said that she drives 275 yards. I'm waiting to see that 13 year-old girl from Hawaii who is said to drive 300 yards. She's supposed to play a "rookie" PGA tournament in a bit.

Btw, did you realize there is a LPGA event this weekend? Not getting a lot of press, is it?

If she can handle the pressure of this mega-event (and so far it looks pretty good), then she can handle the pressure of the Tour.

Something tells me that Bank of America is going to be signing Annika to a big fat endorsement contract!

15 is another birdie opportunity:

Your tee shot must navigate a gauntlet formed by out of bounds to the right and trees to the left. A short approach makes birdies possible on this two-tiered green.

She does drive it 300 yards. When she warmed up a week ago Monday for a Men's qualifier, the men were stopping and watching her.

Hey, I'm rooting for her. I hope she wins.

But remember, this is a 72 hole tournament. She's played 3.

Tied for 10th at 1 under (par is tied for 22nd).
Leaders (Gay, Henry, Andrade) are at -3.
11 of top 21 started on the back 9.

Announcers called it 25 ft... I'm terrible at eyeballing distances, and the announcers aren't helping me! ;^)

Actually 5. And she's 1-under par.

She put the ball within 35 feet on the second shot of a 457-yard Par 4. That answers the question about whether she is strong enough to play.

Wonder what Chuck Barkley will have to say about this!

ANNIKA...THE SEABISCUIT OF GOLF TODAY!

More like the Ruffian of golf, but let's hope the story doesn't end that way.
