I'm afraid I have to agree but I am in what I call my defensive mode now. If I tell myself Ruben is going to win and he does then I'm prepared for it. If Clay wins then I can be excited. I use it all the time. :)

I haven't noticed any change in Ruben's voice..to me, he has always sounded raspy..

Kimberly SHOULD have been next American Idol for 2003 (Clay will probably beat out Ruben)

Josh Gracin is back on duty with the Marines. However, they have given him permission to go on tour this summer.

Am I the only yankee watching the CMA show?
To: marajade
Did you know that Cass Elliott didn't die from choking? Yup - heart attack (according to Snopes).
That's just a myth
Based on initial media reports.
And, its not like I could have posted a wisenheimer line such as "If Mama Cass had ripped her heart out of her chest and given it to Karen Carpenter, two lives would have been saved that day." and gotten any laughs.

Do you think that's really true, or just PR? And, one could argue that you probably would have a heart attack if you choked on a ham sandwich LOL! Sorry, didn't mean to be irreverant.

Actually, some people at my office today were saying Kimberly should have won! I'm thinking that might not have been a bad thing...
To: redlipstick; Howlin
I voted for Clay all night, but only got through 9 times!
I'm moving to Raleigh. Howlin, how's the weather like there?

If you search on google... there's more than one source...

Regardless of which singer wins the phone-in plebiscite, Clay is going to be the one with industry people burning up his phone lines. Ruben's a likable teddy bear with a pretty good voice, but Clay has star written all over him. His voice is better, his stage presence is better, his persona is intriguing... he's just got more of that natural X-factor that stars have. There are a thousand and one Ruben clones out there -- many with better voices, some that are even chubbier and cuddlier -- but Clay is a unique quanitity. Clay has won this thing hands down, whether the 1-800 tally registers it that way or not.
