Assuming it was a bomb, maybe the perp tried to get into NY and couldn't. It's just not that far away. At this time of year, when things at Yale are not on a "regular" schedule, a "stranger" probably wouldn't be noticed.

So this lie has been repeated on FR what, now, 500 times?

The term, "Ruled out" was NEVER used.

In the early hours after the crash, the media was obviously pestering them every .0000000000000000000005 seconds with "was it terrorism? was it terrorism?"

They had to say something, and they were truthful. All of the official statements were ACTUALLY statements to the effect that "At this time, we have no indications that terrorism was involved." It was a truthful statement then, and it's true now.

Also, the first term is completely pass/fail, and there are only five required classes.

When I was at MIT the whole first year (undergraduate) was pass/NO RECORD, that is if you failed the class disappeared from your record entirely.

Given the nature of the student body it was a necessity to cut down on the suicides. However, they eventually had to put in strict limits on credit hours as people would try to take 8 classes a semester the first year.

Considering my lack of performance my first year there it was quite fortunate when I finally transferred out :-).

That is where you are mistaken. I had roots just like that and I have never used hair lighteners. Just a natural occurrence for some people. As she gets older, her hair will most likely get darker. But it is possible for that to occur without lightening your hair.

Moreover, the young law professor being sent to write Iraq's new constitution (Noah Feldman) is a Yale Law School alum. There are plenty of possibilities if we put on our tinfoil hats, but, if it's terrorism, I would bet on more general symbolic causes (e.g., Yale is an elite university, Bush is a Yale alum, YLS is an elite law school, etc.).
