They are poorly engineered and the rudders and tails fall off. They just do.
That's why I never take one.

You're right. If terrorists were hell-bent on destroying America and the American way of life, then one would think they would consider Yale Law School to be a force for good.
To: section9
BTW, just a thought. I'd get some Hazmat people out there ASAP to check for chem or biotoxins. That would make very good sense from the terrorist standpoint. Poison attack was certainly in the design of the 1993 WTC bombing.

don't see the connection to anything bigger at this pointRight, international terror hit would have taken out a whole building, packed with people.

(New Haven-WTNH, May 21, 2003 Updated 5:18 PM) _ Police and emergency crews are responding to a report of an explosion in a mailroom at Yale Law School.
The calls came in about 4:45 p.m. about an incident at Grove and Prospect Streets in the area near the Law School.
Witnesses report hearing a loud explosion. Other witnesses have reported seeing damage to a mailroom. A floor may have also partially collapsed.
Firefighters are setting up a second perimeter around the building.
There's no word what specifically happened or whether anyone was hurt.
A spokeswoman for the FBI in New Haven told the Associated Press that members of the agency's Joint Terrorism Task Force were dispatched to the scene.

Now MSNBC says it was in a classroom.

Your post #18 suggests that Yale would not be a likely target
because they vocalize support for Palestinian and Islamofascist issues.
Back to my point, which is it doesn't matter what view a Westerner has, simply because he is a Westerner and not a Muslim is cause enough for them.
By saying terrorists pick and choose targets based upon the views of one group of Westerners over another, you're suggesting that an individuals view on the war on terror, war in Iraq, etc. is the determining cause in provoking attack, ie "root cause."

You know, it appears to have been a powerful bomb. Looks like it was someone who knew what they were doing.
However, I'll want to see more before I say "Al Qaeda". It could be some goobers from International ANSWER or, just as likely, Al Qaeda wannabes.

Somehow, I doubt that this could be the work of terrorists. Yale has become a far left, diversified, pro-Palestinian terrorist, er, freedom fighter, kind of environment whose staff has been known to support Islamofascist causes. (I guess that could be said for about 99.5% of universities today.)Exactly. If this was caused by anything intentional at all - that is, if it's not a gas leak or somesuch - it's a million times more likely to be the work of someone with a specific grudge against Yale, or at least against a specific person at Yale. A Unabomber-style mailbomber out to get a professor, and the bomb went off in the mailroom somehow?
Ah, exams were going on at the time, reports an editor of the Yale school paper (to Fox News! i'm amazed he'd deign to speak to Fox). Students are willing to go to extremes sometimes, especially if this is just a smoke bomb (there doesn't seem to be a lot of hard physical damage).

Im confused, the semester is over and they are targeting classrooms? Then again... an empty building on a largely empty campus would be a fine place to assemble some bombs. I'm thinking work-accident. First thing to do is look up the membership of the Muslim Students' Association or the campus Palestinian Movement and see if anybody has gone missing.

the school that one of the President's daughters attends. AND just what ARE the stats for 'bombs'/explosions at schools?
We lost a boiler at my Jr. High when I was a kid and it did a lot of damage (shool was out fortunately)!
