After a thorough investigation, the British Broadcasting Corp. has presented a shocking dissection of the "heroic" rescue of Pvt. Jessica Lynch, as reported by the U.S. military and a breathless American press.

"Her story is one of the most stunning pieces of news management ever conceived," the BBC concluded — the polite British way of saying "liar, liar, pants on fire."

Though the Bush administration's shamelessly trumped-up claims about Iraq's alleged ties to Al Qaeda and 9/11 and its weapons of mass destruction take the cake for deceitful propaganda — grand strategic lies that allow the United States' seizure of Iraq's oil to appear to be an act of liberation — the sad case of Lynch's exploitation at the hands of military spinners illustrates that the truth once again was a casualty of war.

I didn't see this posted. And since I canceled my subscription I found out about this second hand. Left wing propagandist Scheer who happens to also be a professor of journalism at the University of Southern California. Ridiculous commentary by anti-American Scheer. He should be fired by LA TIMES and USC.

As much as I dislike O'Reilly, he made an excellent point tonight. If the Pentagon is lying there will be hell to pay. If Sheer is lying, nothing will happen to him. There won't even be a correction or retraction. I wish I could meet Mr Sheer so I could ask him, face to face, "Why do you hate America? What was it that finally pushed you over the edge into hating the country that has given you so much?"

If I have to buy the first premise to accept that this guy's dissection is credible, I think I will not bother.

The mighty "O" was a cream puff compared to COL Hunt, I thought the man was going to blow a gasket.

Haven't seen him look like that since the perfumed princes said we were lousing the battle for Baghdad (can't call it a war, just a battle).

I would not want to be sheer if he met the Colonel.

The freeze would give sheer panty frost bite, just before the glove went across the face.

That's right dueling is no longer practiced in the US.

Scheer like the rest of the leftists is a coward. I was in college when all the anti-war protests were hot during the sixties. And what they were really about was they had a very large yellow streak down their backs. The leftists like the Klintons et al just hate the military and hate themselves because they didn't have the courage to answer the call when their country needed them.

I told my family that Col.Hunt who had investigated this was so incensed he found it hard to talk at first.The one thing the BBC got right was that they plastic cuffed everyone in the hospital to secure it. Scheer is a lefty..when did telling the truth matter?
