Is he the one they used to call "Sid the Squid?" A thoroughly repugnant character!

I have to say it's a pretentious and boring review--appropriate for Sid Vicious, no doubt.

"Bad Sid's description of his Senate trial deposition is the best thing in the book. He portrays Rep. Lindsey Graham, the House manager who questioned him, as a befuddled bumpkin, raking his hand through his hair, jiggling his leg, and groping clumsily through his pockets for notes:" Sid resorts to ad hominem attempts to belittle his antagonists, which are totally beside the point. Graham rightly proved that Blumenthal was nothing more than a hired, conscienceless attack dog, when he revealed that Sid was used by Clinton to prepare a smear campaign against Monica Lewinsky, to discredit any future testimony she might give regarding Clinton's sexual predations, and the laws broken on his order to cover it all up. Fraud is fraud, and Sid was a stooge of one of the biggest, most rapacious and blatant frauds in American history. Needless to say, that is nothing anyone sane would be proud of.

The partisan hysteria surrounding Clinton's impeachment created so much mayhem on Capitol Hill that the articles of impeachment never included Clinton's perjury in the Jones case, the one crime we know that Clinton committed. I was always frustrated by the fact that Clinton's perjury in the Jones case wasn't included in the articles of impeachment.
BTW, I've been thinking that Sid looks like that one teacher in the Harry Potter movies.

This photo could use a wittier caption than I am able to think of at the moment.

He was on Hannity yesterday. It didn't take long for me to change to music on the radio he made me so sick! Still lying for Clinton's, and bashing Bush.
I wouldn't read his book with someone elses eyes.

"...because blow jobs didn't constitute sexual relations." Ah! You don't get rarefied political discussion like that anymore! Doesn't it just make you hungry for Clinton II?

the House impeachment managers would subsequently try to argue that Blumenthal and Clinton had plotted together to obstruct justice by spreading false stories about Lewinsky. It was a ridiculous allegation, much less plausible than the Starr Report's claim that Clinton had coached his secretary, Betty Currie, to give false testimony about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. I guess Timothy Noah thinks that all those news stories about stalker Lewinsky have been "disappeared" off the Net. I'm here to tell him that some people saved them. ;-)

The partisan hysteria surrounding Clinton's impeachment created so much mayhem on Capitol Hill that the articles of impeachment never included Clinton's perjury in the Jones case, the one crime we know that Clinton committed. Bad Sid isn't quite bad enough to underscore that irony. Ever the loyal friend and aide, he edges close to endorsing Clinton's ridiculous claim that he hadn't lied in the Jones deposition because blow jobs didn't constitute sexual relations. I guess Noah didn't catch The Squid on Hannity the other day, where Bad Sid stated categorically that Clinton committed no crimes. But then, Timothy Noah isn't probably interested in the facts, now is he? ;-)
