Let's see, Bush is for banning (some) guns.
Bush is for turning a blind eye to illegal trespassers.
Bush is for unprotected borders.
Bush is for big government and skyrocketing budgets.
...help me out here, is he a RINO?

I wonder just one thing: If this bill comes up for a vote and fails, is it an even bigger victory? Can Hassert be trying to knock off more Democrats by energizing gun owners against those who vote for this disgusting legislation? It's certainly not the way I would like to see it done, because once it's on the floor for a vote anything can happen, but does anyone else think this might be part of their thinking?

"Your political games with our freedoms paint you as a coward, a manipulator and a traitor. Its time for you to do the right thing. State your position, and face the consequences like a man."If Bush had advisors like this one, we'd likely be deep into Year Three of President Al Gore's first term.

Admit that you are too cowardly to stand up to Schumer, McCarthy, Feinstein and their weak-minded socialist brethren, because youre afraid youll lose votes. I think she (the author) gets it.

You wont get a pass on this, Mr. President. Maybe he should push to lift the ban on "Tommy guns" isn't that a curb on freedom. The AWB is a meaningless "bone" for the gun control nuts, let it be. Has anyone found it so bad. Everyone knows it's a phony ban to start with so what's the big deal. All BUSH said is he will sign it if it hits his desk, he's a little busy right now. The only reason this is in the news is so the DEMS can FUND RAISE, the current ban doesn't even expire until next year.

We owe to our children's children Homeland Security arms, ammunition, reloading tools and supplies, and amory skills to keep our Homeland Security arms in perfect repair for those days and nights when sleepers awaken, Allah uaaakkkkk barfs puke, or JBTs cross our Concord Bridge.
Our rulers enjoy control of the police powers of the state with power over citizens - under penalty of law. Those even in temporary power will come to believe that armed citizens, if only a small, criminal minority or faction, pose too great a risk to their permanent power base.
Our liberties are eroding at such a rate that we are becoming numbed by the enormity of the laws and regulations controlling our lives and possessions, such that we can never know whether we are in violation at home or travelling. Even JBT police raids "in error" threaten our lives.
SCOTUS and several circuits have serially ruled that our Constitution does not mean what it clearly says. Congresses and presidents ignor our Constitution they swore to defend. Their oaths mean nothing, but their power means everything.
The POLICE will protect the office holders before all others. The military will follow orders of this president or any Democrat.
We citizens must vote as we arm and teach. Reliance on The Party gets us nowhere. Democrats get us American fascism in lockstep with world socialism. Republicans get us a kinder and gentler fascism.
Our nation is at war now. Our children's children's future will change by chance and 5th columns. Our Constitutional Republic is failing because Big Brother is needed to help our rulers in Washington D.C.
Buy the kids their own copy of our Constitution, Federalist Papers, Bible, and Homeland Security arms. BLOAT because cache is king.

What's sad is the fact that we're now playing politics with the Constitution. That's a statement on the country as a whole.

I think on the right we need pragmatists and idealists. Without the hard core idealists, the right would become Democrat light. Without the pragmatists, the idealists would lose elections and not get ANY of their legislation passed. So much of FR is spent basically arguing btw these two factions. I hope that the idealists work hard to pressure their elected officials and Bush to do what they want.
